I have the option of two flights to choose from for my Aug hols next year and can't decide so wondered if anyone had any thoughts/experiences?
One flight is biz class to Orlando with Virgin and prem economy on the way home.
The other flight is biz class with virgin to Orlando and on the way home is with delta via Atlanta also biz class but this will land in LHR and not LGW which we took off from.
At one time I would have jumped at biz class but I a starting to think that the seats look like little coffins and I wonder if I might be claustrophobic in them?
Changing planes doesn't bother me but I wondered if anyone had any thoughts /experiences . Thanks

Upper Class in Virgin is over rated for me. We were kept waiting, and the 747s are wearing out now (broken/noisy seats), seats are not that comfortable, especially when flat, VA are also reducing their cabin crew numbers so what was once a dedicated service is now split into Premium too.

The Clubhouse is great at LHR and LGW, but the extra money is just not worth it. I'd rather go Prem or get an exit seat (and add a case), and save a ton of cash/miles at the same time.

Regarding the connection in Atlanta. Make sure you have more than an hour to catch your next flight. Atlanta airport is a very large and Delta is located on multiple concourse that you have to access by taking the internal train system.

I love Virgin UC and even though most of our flights originate out of Manchester (so no clubhouse} still think they provide a great service. We didn't notice any decline in service during our summer flights despite the reduction in cabin crew. We do fly PE if we can't get a good deal in UC for miles but there's just no comparison both in service and comfort. I don't think you'd feel claustrophobic especially on the 747 - it's nice to sit at the bar for a drink mid flight. I don't have any problems when the seat is made into a bed and always manage to get a good sleep on the overnight return flight. I wouldn't pay full price for UC as it's ridiculously expensive but using miles to upgrade is well worthwhile.
