Trying to choose between Sat. Feb. 12 and Mon. Feb. 14 to see Wishes and Spectro. I'd normally avoid a Sat. night at MK if I could. But I'm not sure if Mon. night at MK is better since it's Valentine's Day and the "day off" for the cheerleading competition going on. I'm taking my sr. citizen parents who have never seen Wishes or Spectro. We'll have mom in a wheelchair. Both times will probably be crowded, but which do you think will be better of the two? Thanks in advance!!

If it were me I would plan on Saturday knowing that both nights will be busy as I would be afraid that if I waited until Mon that there is a chance of rain that might cancel Spectro at least and then you would have missed out. If weather is bad on Sat you always have Mon as a back-up....

and I would get a spot early for Mom on the curb for the parade and sit back and enjoy the people watching and have a SNACK !! :)

Thanks, princess lovers mom. That sounds like good practical thinking. So far I'm planning for us to go Sat. night, but I started second guessing myself and wondering if crowds might be smaller on Mon.

Anyone else have any opinions?

I don't know if you have the parkhopper feature on your pass or not and how easy it will be to hop for you with your parents, but I would spend Sat at another park and come to MK an hour before Spectro and get a spot to watch it and then after Spectro find a spot for Wishes if you need a diff spot. I have found that for me it is easier to try and see the shows/parades/fireworks I want to see as early as possible in my vacation in case they are rained out or something else happens.

Wishes and Spectro are also on Sunday, Feb 13. Do you think that might be a better night?

If you could go Sunday i would also pick that night. Monday will be less crowded but It is a practical idea to go on Saturday "Just in case" then you have a back up day. I would also go right before Spectro since it will be a busy night there.

"and the "day off" for the cheerleading competition going on"

We're trying to decide the same thing. I did see on Varsity.com that the cheerleaders are only in the parks from 9 to noon on the 14th.~:)~

The cheerleaders being gone by 12 is the best news I've heard all day, since we're arriving around 1pm on Monday!!! :cool1:

Thanks so much, everyone! Hmmm, that's interesting about the cheerleaders' departure time. That could encourage us to give more thought to going on Mon. night instead of Sat. Maybe crowds will be slightly smaller on Monday, even though it's Valentine's Day. (Does that occasion even bring out bigger crowds? I don't even know...)

I agree that Sun. night would be a good choice, but we have other plans for Sunday and so it will not be a park day. Guess we'll double check the weather forecast once we get down there (yes, I've been checking weather.com for a rough idea ;) ) and see if that tips the scale one way or the other.

Thanks for all the replies! :)
