We are looking into when to return to the happiest place on earth and going round in circles so hopefully you guys canhelp us decide!

We would like -
* fairly warm weather ( The cold this year put us off returning in Dec!)
* low / average crowds ( Ds would never cope with huge crowds)
* Avoid school holidays if possible.

Not a massive list so what month do you reccomend??
It would be a bonus if there was a special event or party nights running that we could experience as we loved the MVMCP but its not essential !!

I'm hoping that the time I go next year is going to be hot, lowish crowds (apart from when the Beer and Wine Festival is on in Epcot) and is outside school holidays :) - so take a look at late September/early October.

The MNSSHP are on as well.

We liked October this time (have been to florida most months over the years)

Weather was hot, no rain.
MNSSHP and food and wine festival.
Crowds were fine, similar to what we experienced early December.

Last 2 weeks are school hols but you could maybe go end sept/early oct.

We have the same requirements as you - warm, low crowds and no school holidays - and have chosen to go from 15th September to 3rd October (18 nights)

And, as others have said, there's MNSSHP and the Food and Wine Festival

:goodvibes

November was nice and I personally thought it was quieter than the last September we went. Weather was around 80F most days and we swam about every other day.

Late Sept/Oct!!!!!! We had a great time Oct 1st-15th was perfect!

Although my next trip aim is to be there for a MNSSHP and a MVMCP so late Oct/Early Nov is high on my list. :)

My wedding planner also says May is lovely.

We loved May this year and would go back then in a heartbeat! As long as you miss Memorial Day weekend we found the parks quiet, never felt crowded. The weather was great as well although this year seemed to be a record high!

No special events or party nights though :( Although Star Wars weekends started at the end of May this year I think.

we loved our october trip this year, 7th-21st. Weather was really warm, with no rain and crowds were ok. The time before that we went the middle 2 weeks in september, weather was hot but had the thunderstorms. The crowd levels were really low. Both times MNSSHP was on. Perfect time both times

Thanks all :thumbsup2

You have all said what we were thinking the 2 possibilties we have come up with were oct and Apr/May !
Thanks guys you have backed up our thoughts anyway.

Money no object april/ may ( were going april again and love this time of year),
but not long to save / pay
Early oct before the crowds, pefect weather and halloween decs....i want to try and squeeze in a quick week too money depending, plus longer to save....lol

If we go for April/May it would have to be 2012 another reason why I like October as its a push but we may just make it in 2011!!!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh I think im going crackers with my desire to get back to wdw

As you know, we're going 2nd half of May, and I love it then with just the right combination of temperature and humidity, but October is always my 2nd choice due to the crowds, halloween parties, etc. Celebration is great at the weekends for October, when they have the autumn leaves falling in the main street, and pumpkins everywhere.

If you want to go back in 2011 I reckon October is the way to go, but give May a chance too sometime :)

-- oh, forgot about new Star Tours opening for Star Wars weekends in May 2011...can't wait for that!

We liked late October as we enjoy Food and Wine and MNSSHP (but needed a week of school hols). My friend went 2nd week of November for 2 weeks (returned just before Thanksgiving) and had a great time - very low crowds, no rain and still temps in the 80's.

Another vote for May! :thumbsup2 The weather was lovely both times we have visited in May.

Also, at Epcot there is the flower and garden festival which runs until 15th May. For 2011 they will feature Toy Story 3 characters among the topiary displays. DD4 loved seeing all the pixies last year :goodvibes they also do some flower power concerts :)

When me and my buddies (4 grown men) go down to WDW, we'd always go the 1st week in May. Very few lines. Restaurants aren't ALL booked up by ADR's. And you have the Flower Expo at Epcot.

The Spring Break high school crowds are back at school and the college kids won't be out for another 2 weeks (both statements are true for North and South America). It's a nice natural lull.

As you can see from my previous trips, we're May WDW lovers.

It's a lovely time, we don't go during UK school breaks though, so you have to make sure you miss these by looking at school calendars etc.

But the weather is/has always been lovely for us and crowd wise, it isn't too bad at all. The queues have never been too bad either at this time of year.
