Just returned and I have to say it was COLD. We are used to cold weather (it was 16 when we left Ohio) but we were greeted with a cold, rainy snap while we were there. 2 of the 4 days were almost constant sprinkles/drizzle. Not to worry though- we still had a magical time. The girls hardly noticed the rain and cold.
Luckily we had gloves, hats, scarfs and mid-weight coats since we were leaving cold weather. I never thought we would actually use them while we were there!! I found a fleece and scarf/mittens to be perfect with my turtleneck.
I packed turtlenecks, fleece layers and more fleece for all and I am glad I did. I wish we would have packed a few other things:
-ponchos or better yet windbreakers with hoods. Our Mickey ponchos, though very cute in the pictures, were $7 each. (I saw some at Target in the dollar section prior to leaving and kicked myself as soon as the drizzle started)
-A blanket to cover our little one while strolling along after dark. Many people had strollers covered with a blanket.
-More "travel friendly" snack foods for the little one. She hardly ate anything in the parks and when we wanted fruit, cheese, etc we really had to look for it since not every restaurant/counter service had it.
Hopefully you will have sunny Florida weather but good idea to be prepared for anything.
PS- we watched the weather every day and they were wrong most days, even when watching in the morn prior to leaving for the parks. Lockers are only $5 a day so we took layers of clothes, mittens, and such and just stored them until we needed them...Hope this helps!!!!!! most of all, HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!
