Help me decide -stay onsite or off???!!!

Absolutely, positively stay onsite. We've done both - I really thought money savings would make up for the difference but nope, not if you are a Disney lover. Onsite!!!!

I pretty much had this decided but now I'm second guessing because of the expense. It will just be my 6 yr old daughter and I. We're going Oct 26-30. We were going to stay ot Port Orleans French Quarter or possibly All Star Movies (POFQ is our 1st choice). But now I'm thinking is it worth the extra $. Some friends of ours have gone done a couple times and stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree which is close and has an ok shuttle they say and is a lot cheaper. What do we do? I'm still leaning toward splurging at staying at POFQ, but hope I don't regret spending the $.

I can tell you that no matter "how close" or "within 1 mile" of WDW is a LONG WAY!! Even inside WDW is a Long way. The hotels and atmosphere of any Disney resort is worth every penny it costs! After all, you are on vacation, be treated the way you want to be treated, if only for a short time. Disney cast members (on the whole)go above and beyond whenever possible to create the "magic" you go down there for. Forgive me, but I saw HI Sunspree (was considering it myself) and it is Nothing compared to even the economy resorts, let alone POFQ. Please, do yourself and your child a huge favor, and stay inside at WDW, you will never regret it (and probably never stay off property again). I hope you take my personal opinion as just that, an opinion even though my feelings are very one sided. Whatever you decide, have fun and enjoy the magic... so jealous ...waiting until Oct to go
