We usually stay at Embassy Suites South but we want to stay closer this time. We need to sleep 2 adults and 2 kids and the kids need their own beds/sofa. We also don't want to be sleeping all in the same room. I was looking at the suite at Castle Inn and Suites or Desert Palms Inn and Suites. We don't want to have to take the shuttle or walk too far. I don't care about breakfast included but dh would like that. Has any one stayed at either of these? Any other close suites we should look at? Hojo is booked, no Park Vue (bad review we read on here).

Camelot has a great Family Suite. One room has 2 queens, other has a sofa and a king. There is also a dining table, fridge and microwave. Its in the $220 range usually.

we have a room book at desert inn and suites. 2 rooms, 4 queen beds, 1 1/2 baths, sofa, dining table. first time staying here but asked on here experiences and got really good reviews on it. back when i booked in january it was 99/night. not sure what the rate is now. its a hotel or two over from the crosswalk to the disney entrance.

When you've had your stay there, would you mind please sending me a note to let me know what you thought of the rooms? We have the same suite booked for the end of April next year and I would LOVE to get a review of it before we go!

Thanks!

Sure :) we are staying end of Nov/beginning Dec. I'll send you a message sometime around then!

I was also looking at the Desert inn. I want a hotel with inside doors where you have to walk thru the lobby to get to the room and an elevator is a must.

It's been 4-5 years since I stayed there but the doors were outside and you didn't have to go through the lobby to get up to them. I didn't like the place.

Nearest would be Anaheim Sheraton, Anaheim Hilton, and Anaheim Marriott. The Hojo's has inside doorways, but not where you have to walk thru the lobby.

None of the hotels discussed above have the interior doors.

We've stayed at Desert Inn and Suites (different than Desert Palms) twice and going a third time later this year. The doors are outside and there is an elevator. Best rates if you book well in advance but good cancellation policy if you change your mind. We have found it to be clean, quite, good service, and so close to DL! We love the roof patio for watching fireworks in our PJs with popcorn.

Just a suggestion....keep checking back in with HoJo's on a regular basis. We really wanted a kid suite there, and they were booked for months. The front desk told me to call them at least twice a week to check (which I thought was really nice, who tells people to call and nag them?? Haha.) for availability. A room opened up about a month before our trip, which left us plenty of time to cancel our other room. I very highly recommend HoJo's for quality and close proximity to the park. Good luck with your choice.

I agree with this. I actually emailed them DAILY to check on availabilty for a Kids Suite and they were so nice with a quick response each day. When the dates finally opened up, the staff was so excited for me, knowing how persistent I was :rotfl2:

It's totally worth trying for the HoJo. It's the best :thumbsup2
