a. We love Epcot
b. We love the MK
c. We also love Ak and MGM but spend more time at the other two parks.
d. We will not have a car
e. We don't do the waterparks
f. We love DTD
g. We resort hop for dinner - sometimes
h. We hardly ever use the pools or other rec. options
i. We are usually in the parks from open to close.

So, which resort would you choose? We've stayed at WL, CB, POR, POFQ.

If you are at the parks usually from open until close, it sounds like you just need a nice place to sleep. You also said you don't use the pools or activities too much. Seems like there is no need for you to stay at a Deluxe. I would save my money and stay at maybe a value such as POP or a moderate such as POFQ

Are you looking for a Moderate or Deluxe resort? If you are looking for a Deluxe I would consider one of the Epcot resorts - they are close to Epcot and Downtown Disney. A MK resort would take more time to get to Epcot and DTD if you plan on spending a lot of time in that area. I am staying at the WDW Swan for 9 nights in late September and was able to get a rate of $169 per night using the All Ears discount. However, if you want a Disney resort all the way, my vote would be for Yacht Club, Beach Club or Boardwalk...

This is what I'm thinking. We love the moderates everytime we stay in one. There's just the two of us - no kids - and that's really the only reason we haven't tried a value resort. We've never stayed at CSR and I don't know why I didn't list it.

Thanks for the help.

My husband and i don't have children either. We have many of the same things on our list that you have on yours. We LOVED the YC. It had a little more of an adult feel to it, We thought it was somewhat quieter, yacht Club Galley was very good and you are so close to so many restaurants.
We would walk or take the boat to Epcot, take the boat to MGM and the bus service to MK and AKL was great. The bus stop is right outside the front door.
The mousekeepers are fantastic and we were treated wonderfully by everyone. We even got an upgrade!!

We don't do the pools either but the atmosphere of SAB was great. We loved it.

We enjoy DTD also but we had a car so that was easy.- I think I would take a taxi if we didn't have the car.

You might be able to get a good deal by renting points at a Boardwalk studio. I think that is right next to Epcot. I also would highly recommend the Swan. It's about a 10 minute walk to World Showcase, and they have some good deals. It's also a little more of a grown-up resort.

...then try Beach Club or Boardwalk.

We love staying at either of these resorts as you just walk out of your room and walk into the back entrance to EPCOT (brings you in at the bridge between UK and France) or you can take a long walk or boat ride to MGM.

Since you love MK, Epcot, and DTD...your okay with the other parks....the best place would be one of the Monorail resorts. You can monorail your way to MK and Epcot....hopping a bus to DTD. To be honest, I vote for CR. Walk to the MK and ride to Epcot.

Have fun!!

I would try a monarail resort. You would be able to take the monarial to MK and Epcot and then a bus to DTD as another poster said. You would also have more dining options then the others as you would have MK, Epcot, and the 3 monarail resorts. I would try the Poly. DH and I stayed there on our honeymoon and it was beautiful and perfect for the 2 of us.

You are like we were. We were park people while visiting WDW. Often we would go to DTD or PI in the evenings.
We also did not have a car and relied on WDW transportation.
We went to all the parks. And spent the least amount of time in AK. (And still do.)
We stayed at: ASMo; ASMu; CSR; WL; POR

As park people, we often stayed at All Stars mostly because we just needed a good night rest and a morning shower. And we often went in January and got the AS for $55 a night including tax. Gotta love that! :goodvibes

We always had good experiences at the AS. We also really liked WL and CSR.
The transportation at WL was very good. You have the boats and busses. We did seem like we spent a lot of time switching around on transportation. It did not bother us. But if guests were dragging kids around that would get old fast.

I say CSR. That is such a darn nice resort. It has been referred to as the deluxe or the mods. The only downside I can see is depending on where your room is at CSR, it can be quite a trek to the central area.

That is another plus to the AS. Everything is very walkable. And their bus system I think is well organized.

We rationized a longer WDW stay by staying at a value.

The only downside I can really think of with AS if you happen to time it while sports teams are also staying there. From what we experienced, Disney room planners do a great job at keeping like groups together. But all that team spirit ;) spills over everywhere and can be obnoxious at times, esp at night. And Disney does little or nothing to keep them under control.

A monorail resort gives you more options, hands down.

We love the monorail resorts. With 2 small kids, the Magic Kingdom is our "main park". We never spend all day at any park. We always go in the Summer since my wife is a teacher so we spend early and late afternoon at the pool. Honestly, if we could not stay at a monorail resort, namely the Poly, we would not stay in WDW at all.
