I am trying to plan a trip for next year. It was be my daughter's last Disney Trip b/f she leaves for college. I am thinking either late Jan or early March. Do you think early March will be less crowded because Easter is in April this year? We would like to do 4 days at BC and 4 at SSR. (both my daughters favorites). She would like it to be very dead crowd wise when we go but we don't want the weather to be too cold. What do you think? The only other thing is that the points are alot more for early March and we need a two bedroom as she will be bringing a friend and there are 5 of us. So help me decide. Thank you all.

We were at WDW in Jan(MLK weekend). Swimming was okay for a couple of days, but the night we went to Fantasmic I had my long underwear on, plus hat and gloves. Don't know if the weather improves by the end of the month.

My eldest son went a couple of years to a private school and they had 2 weeks for spring break the 2nd and 3rd week of March. They were way too PC to have it around Easter.

My accountant's elementary school kids are in a Catholic school with an extended school year. They get a week off in March and Easter week. I've been on the family board and I talked with someone who was "shocked" that we still had it around Easter. :lmao: I think they went mid-March. If you get early in March you might be okay, but colleges start sb pretty early.

My spring break is usually around March 19th, and we have often had chilly weather in Orlando as well as at VB. So, even in March, you are not guaranteed swimming weather. What would she say, which is more important the bit warmer weather or the smaller crowds? I'm pretty sure the park hours are lots shorter in January, so that has to be considered as well. My choice of the two would be March.

We have been at both times of year and my vote is for January hands down!!

I agree with this.

The year I went early March I was surprised at the crowds. We've been late January a few times and have had chilly to hot weather but low crowds.

I vote January too. Crowds can be a problem in March, but this year early March was fine, and the weather was perfect! We just like the leisurly park touring you can get in January. No lines or need for fast passes.
