I can ride all of the roller coasters at Disney World (and other parks) and Disneyland/CA Adventure (except Tower of Terror). However, I saw Hulk at Universal and flat out refused to do it. It wouldn't be so bad, but dh won't ride the roller coasters and neither will dd. So, ds ends up not going on the roller coasters he wants to ride.
We are a bit of a mess...dh can't do any of the motion simulator rides *or* roller coasters due to motion sickness (even with prescription meds). I can't do roller coasters like Hulk, high drop rides (like Terror), the ones that slowly swing you like a pendulum, or the claustrophobic type ones like Mission and Simpsons. My dd is afraid of the bigger coasters.
Last time we were at Universal, by the time we got off the Dragon Challenge (our 2nd ride of the day), dh was throwing up, dd was crying (her seat belt got stuck and she thought she wouldn't be able to get off) and ds had gotten food poisoning the night before and was recovering from throwing up all night. We joked it was the best $1k we ever spent.
My dh is a good sport and still enjoys the parks, my dd will do the smaller rides and I try to support ds within my limits.
So, that was a really long way to ask...Would it be worth it to go to Busch Gardens Tampa and/or SeaWorld? Or, should we just stick with DW? We all like animals. However, we will be coming a cruise and one of our stops is at a place where we will be swimming with sea lions (Chankanaab) another will involve petting sting rays (sting ray city).
Any advise??
