We are trying to decide which character breakfast to do - Goofy or Minnie. We ate at Goofy's a few years ago. My daughter has severe food allergies and the chef came out to talk to us and made her a special meal. We were impressed with the number of characters that came by for autographs. Last time we stayed at the Grand CA so it wasn't too far. This time we are booked at the Park Vue so I am wondering if Minnie's breakfast might be a good option. For the kids, the characters are the most important part of breakfast. Who do you typically see at Minnie's? My daughter wants to see princesses and my son wants to see Captain Hook. I just can't make up my mind! Which one is your favorite?

For the characters, Minnie and Friends. Hook is almost always there. Fairy Godmother and some mice are common but no princesses. Chip is common. Other vary quite a bit. Rafiki, Baloo, Gepetto, Pluto, and others. It usually has about 7 characters making rounds in addition to Minnie.

Since you are staying offsite. If you get the first reservation of the day you can enter without using or needing an MM credit for reservations at 50 minutes before the regular park opening.

I have only done Minnies so I cant compare it to anything but here was my experience.

We had 3 adults and one child (2). The food is fine (its breakfast food which isnt my favorite but they have good selections and its prepared well). It was hard to eat as the characters come one after the other with little to no break. we made sure to have 2 of us adults at the table at a time so we could try and eat and split picture duties.

There were a lot of characters when we went (our reservation was after the parks opened, we actually had time to ride POC before we went to breakfast and we still got there early, which was fine because they seated us early as well). The interaction was great with my DD. She didnt quite know what to think with all the characters coming by and she just kind of looked at them but they still spent time playing with her and taking pictures and such.

At one point during the meal they played music and alot of the kids there go to dance with Minnie and friends. My DD just kind of stood there. then minnie took her hands and danced with her but when she let go my DD stood there frozen with her arms out away from her. It was quite funny. We really liked the experience and would absolutely do it again in a heart beat.

This year however my DD is completely enamored with the princesses so we are going to try AG for lunch and will bring an autograph book this time.

We just did Minnie's last weekend and it was wonderful. We had a 7:10 reservation so we were able to enter the park right at 7:00 when they let the MM people in. Since the restaurant was so empty, we had tons of character interaction (so much so that our food kept getting cold so we had to make time to eat, LOL).

The characters we saw were Chip, Dale, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Minnie, Hook, Fairy Godmother, Rafiki and Max. Shoot, there may have even been more. It was a lot more characters than I was expecting, LOL.

But it was the interaction that was so fun. Chip took the kids up to the buffet area and was helping them get trays and silverware (that he couldn't pick up with his paws...it was so cute). Then Pooh came over and DS decided he wanted to stay with him so Pooh pretended to take him (they actually just did a loop around the restaurant together). And it wasn't just that they came by, but each character took time to get into the act. Hook was pretending to have my DH by the neck with his hook (cute picture), Eeyore was pretending to be so sad so the kids would keep trying to cheer him up, etc. I'm sure I didn't get enough to eat to make it worth the price because I couldn't put my camera down long enough. Of course, the pictures made the breakfast priceless :thumbsup2

When they did the dance party, all three kids (two 13 year old girls and 1 8 year old boy) actually got up and danced with about 5 of the characters. I was smiling from ear to ear watching the teenagers having so much fun.

If I were going to book it again, I would definitely get that first reservation of the morning again...what a blast :thumbsup2

yep thats how it was for me as well and I didnt care about not having enough to eat as it was so much fun watching my DD with the characters.

I'd do minnie. There isn't much variety and the food isn't that great but its ok and there will be tons of characters. Hook will almost certainly be there and sometimes they do have a princess because we saw Aurora there once. The food is definitely better at Goofy's but its less convenient (unless you're staying at DLH) and there will be fewer characters. I would try to book minnies either before the park opens or for a brunch time like 10:45 or 11. If you're going to do goofy's I'd either do the first thing in the morning or almost the last ressie for lunch when its very uncrowded.

We've also done the stich thing at paradise pier and that was lots of fun!
