Hi

We are traveling with our 4 kids age 3-11 and my in laws. We can get 2 rooms at CSR or 3 rooms at ASMo for the same price. We are worried that
1. CSR is so spread out we may have to walk 15 minutes with the kids to get to the pool or food court.

2. ASMo may not be "nice" enough for my in laws.

We have stayed in POFQ (it was fine) and CBR (very spread out to us). The thing that was the hardest at CBR was the bus stops. Our kids were usually very crabby after the 4th or 5th stop and it wasn't our turn to get off yet (we were the 2nd last stop). We probably would choose All Stars over CBR for the Disney themed characters and more compact resort. Is CSR pretty comparable to CBR except the fod court? Is ASMo reasonably "nice". By this I don't mean sit down restaurant nice I mean clean rooms and grounds with decent furnishings.

Any help would be appreciated!

CSR is not quite as spread out as CBR, but the bus stops are sometimes a little more crowded because there are not as many. It is a beautiful resort and there are quiet pools at each area (Cassitas, Cabanas, and Ranchos) as well as the main pool. The All Star Movies is a great resort too. It does not seem as spread out as the other All Stars or the CBR. There are only two pools there though. Kids love the Movies because of all of the Disney eye candy. I think that your inlaws will really enjoy watching the children enjoy the resort.

I would recommend All-Star Movies, especially for the kids! It is a very nice hotel, very clean, and our rooms have been very quiet. The first time we stayed at the Movies, we had Love Bug and it was very quiet - we never heard a thing outside our room! The second time, we had 101 Dalmations and again, it was very quiet! My little one loves this hotel!!!!

Also, the first time we stayed here, my mom was with us, and she really enjoyed the hotel - she thought it was very clean, and an easy walk to the food court/bus stop. The gift shop is also very nice!

We've stayed at the Coronado Springs before, and we did enjoy the hotel! It was also really neat - the kids loved the pool slide. But, although our room was very close the the main building, it was quite a walk to the Dig Site. My little one loved the kiddy pool here!

CSR!!:D
If you could get Cabana 9B you would be close to EVERYTHING and have a great view. It is a beautiful relaxing resort with lots to do. You get the great pool and slide and the option to rent watermice also:D ! We enjoyed the Pepper Market too.

I think CSR also. I have stayed at both, and CSR is lovely. Additionally, there is only one bus stop at the AsMo and you could have quite a hike with the kids depending on your location. Whatever you decide it will be wonderful.

My vote would be for ASMovie. All I really need to say is 3 BATHROOMS!!!! You guys would have 3 bathrooms and each couple would have their own room. You could get ready in a quicker fashion. We stayed at ASSports in Dec. but toured them all. We usually stay at OKW and we found it in some ways better than OKW. We loved the themeing (this was our first visit w/ our DD) so all the colors and brite lights were wonderful for her. But it's not just a "Kids" place adults will find it nice as well. The rooms are still "Disney" rooms so they're clean and neat and nice. Hope this helps. I know you want to make sure it's "nice" enough for your in-laws but I think they would have a happier trip if the kids were happy and not cranky! If you know what I mean!

Wow

This is going to be a tough call. The votes a split 50/50. I have thought of splitting the stay. Heres' the only problem. My in laws are staying at CSR for a convention May 17-21. My father in law isn't real big on resort switching and would just as soon stay at CSR the whole time (we are meeting in Disney May 9-18 then they are staying for their convention). I had my heart set on trying ASMo or a CR wing room. All three are similar priced (CR would be $600 more for the 9 days). So I wanted to split ASMo and CR. I have no real desire to stay at CSR. It's kind of weird. We stayed at POFQ and didn't research much (didn't find the DIS until our last trip). As I was so excited to stay at a Disney property when we opened the hotel door I was a little disappointed. I kind of expected to see Mickey Mouse somewhere. I know that is totally strange but it was my initial reaction I figured Disney=Mickey Mouse. So Disney=All Star Movies or CR because we love the characters and the monorail...lots of memories a sa child the one time we visited. Soooo then we stayed at CBR and knew what to expect and it was pretty. But I don't really need "pretty". Just a convenient resort that feels very Disney. So for me to conceed to CSR for 9 nights is going to be a sacrifice as I would really prefer ASMo or CR. But our in laws don't have a good feeling about a "value" resort (they are not budget conscious) and my FIL doesn't want to resort hop!!! I think ASMo/CR resort hop the first 9 days then they can head over to CSR for their convention. However, that would be switching 3 times for them. So I guess I have to stay at CSR the WHOLE time or talk them into 1 switch and stay at either CR or ASMo the first 5 nights. So now I guess it's either between CR and ASMo then move to CSR??? Sorry if this is confusing ...thanks for all your help! I know it will be great no matter what and the resort really doesn't matter all that much. I always get hung up on this decision though:D

CSR is such a beautiful resort. Your kids will love the pool and playground area. There is also a arcade in the pool area too. The slide is the best though. You may end up spending alot of time on the slide as well as your kids. CSR gets my thumbs up!

ASMovies!!!!!!!!!

I have stayed at Poly, POR, and all three All Stars. I toured CSR - it is really sprawling!

I love ASMo -- it is the MOST "Disney" of all the resorts (by the way, if you look at the bedspreads or other decor at most resorts you will find "hidden" Mickeys). The AS rooms have a fun decor.

Anyway, ASMo is a nice size resort, good bus schedule, great pool theme (for kids & adults) and we've always been happy with the food at the food court -- any time of day/night.

We have also switched resorts before and it is very easy - just ask for assistance from the front desk and they will take care of your getting your luggage from your room to your new resort.

Hope this helps your decision.
