Help me decide--- Contemporary/SOG or AKL

Okay, here is the deal with our current vacation planned. We will bein the world from 10/18-10/26. We are DVC members and will be staying at BCV (home resort), from 10/21 to 10/26. For 10/18-10/26 we will be staying on property.

We are dying to do AKL Concierge and the Sunrise Safari (Monday night/Tuesday am safari) So, I can't decide and have 2 ressies going right now and need to decide by Friday.

1. 10/18-10/21 - stay at Cont/SOG -- DH is USAF and room rate is really cheap! -- skip Safari and just go to AK (current ressies)

2. 10/18-10/21 - stay at Cont/SOG Sat/ Sun and go concierge at AKL on MOnday night....move from hotel to hotel, and then do Safari.

3. 10/18-10/21 - Stay AKL Savanah View Sat/Sun and move to Concierge Savannagh view on Monday night (this is current ressies) This will cost more than twice what the SOG stay will be.

We LOVE AKL and would love to stay there and do the Safari. We dont have kids yet, but this may be our last non-kid, non-pregnant trip (hint, hint).....it also is both our birthdays in October and our 9th wedding anniversary.......

Which would you chose?

Hi there...

Usually I would say don't change hotels for such a short stay - however, since you are moving to concierge and chances are your room will be ready or if not you can still use the lounge - I would say go for it with the split.

That way it is not a fortune (staying AKL the whole time) and you are not missing out on the sunrise safari that you really want to do.

My second choice - would be to spend the fortune and stay at AKL the whole time...

3rd choice - stay at CR/SOG and resent for the rest of your life not dioing the sunrise safari when you had the chance
