Help me decide category of hotel

Hello, I'm looking for just some basic advice. Usually while travelling we book hotels. We have two young children which makes it difficult for everyone going to sleep at the same time. I thought of getting a condo but I do like the little extras of a hotel (breakfast, housekeeping, etc). I may use a small fridge and microwave but I don't really plan on cooking.

I think what I'd love is a hotel-type place but the bed in a separate room (not two different hotel rooms as escape may be a possibility by the kids in the middle of the night, so just a door between rooms is not good). What type of category should I be looking for? A condo resort? A regular hotel with extra rooms? There's so many and I really don't have time to devote to researching. We're travelling in a week for just a few days, and I'll just get a regular hotel if I can't find something with a separate sleeping area but I'd like something a tad nicer if I could find it.

Help, please?

Thanks for the recs. It's pretty time consuming searching through all the available hotels to see if they have "separate rooms", as there are approximately 1 million I think! :)

Search for ... Hotels *one bedroom suite*

You are *not* looking for a *studio suite* or a *standard hotel room*.

The previously mentioned Embassy Suites and Residence Inn ... :thumbsup2

Staybridge Suites is yet another option.
