Hello everyone! I need some help deciding on where to stay for my August 2020 trip. This trip will be 9 nights with just me and my partner. As of now, the first five nights are at Caribbean Beach (standard view room), and the last 4 nights are at the Poly. We have a pretty good deal for Caribbean Beach for 5 nights, with the Disney Dining Plan, and a $500 voucher for special event tickets (long story short, we are annual pass holders but wanted free dining so we had to buy tickets. We will be converting these tickets to either after hours tickets or MNNSHP). This came to $2250. I’m now considering staying club level at Gran Destino Tower instead. This would be $2300 for just the room with no dining plan or ticket voucher. It’s a pretty big price difference, but I think this may be our only chance to stay club level since from what I’m hearing, prices for 2021 are significantly higher. Please give me your opinions on whether or not switching to Gran Destino Tower Club Level would be worth it, or if we should stick with Caribbean Beach and save the money. Thanks!

Assuming you like both resorts... Are you going to be hanging around the resort a lot or mostly in the parks? If you'll be at the parks a lot I would say keep CBR..the skyliner is a game-changer that can have you at 2 parks in minimal time. If you think you'll be around the resort a lot, and using the amenities of CL then I say go for it!

I agree with above poster. I'll also add I'm not a big fan of club level. You are still going to have to spend some money on food and the few times we've had club level (both times we were upgraded at no cost), never seemed to be around the resort when they were serving food. I just don't think it's worth the money but that's just me.

I don’t know what the CL offerings would be at Grand Destino. Maybe a downgraded version of deluxe resort offerings. So it would be hard to say if it would be worth it.
We are booked at CBR for August. 13 nights. I’m looking forward to trying out the Skyliner.
No DDP. We find we eat well and still spend less without DDP.

I would stay at CBR and enjoy the savings and skyliner access! My personal opinion (take it or leave it): I’m not entirely sold on there being price increases in 2021. If this pandemic goes on a long time maybe there will be promotions! You could always keep CBR and keep an ear out for promos

CBR - the Skyliner is such an efficient way to get around. If it means less bussing, i'd be all over it.

Normally, I'd say do the Gran Destino, BUT with the free dining and the Skyliner I'd say stay CBR. We're not much for sticking around the resort so the Club Level would be lost on us.

I stayed two nights club level at Gran Destino and it was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had. And I wouldn't worry about having the dining plan.

In the club lounge, they've got so much food and drinks, including alcohol. You can eat breakfast there, then you can grab a piece of fruit and a water bottle to take to the parks. Plus, they have amazing customer service there. Even if we went to the park, if one of those CMs passed us in the hallway, they'd say something like, "Where are you and Ashley headed today?" Like they knew who we were and it just made us feel like we were home. I've stayed club level at other places, but I've never felt like that. Sooo worth the money.

How much time will you spend at the resort?

I really do like CSR, but that is quite a price jump and you lose those other two items you mentioned. I haven't been there since they built the tower which does look quite nice but to me if you are spending a lot of parks time I don't know if it's worth it. You'd have to be at the resort to enjoy the CL amenities.

Since you're already switching over to a deluxe resort later in the trip, I would keep the CBR deal.

Club Level at the tower. Easy choice!

From my experience, it's a step up from Club Level at other hotels. Beautiful room, great food and AWESOME staff.

I'd even consider staying there for the whole trip and dumping Poly...Not sure I would but, definitely consider it. Assume that would save you some serious $$$ as well.
