Help me decide between Bonnet Creek or renting DVC for next trip!

I have read many of the wonderful posts about Bonnet Creek and am leaning towards trying that out for our next trip as we want to stay in a villa. My husband loves that it is less money but has always loved staying onsite....Has anyone regretted their decision to stay there and not stay on-property? help!

On our trip last year we stayed a week on property (not at a DVC) and a week at Bonnet Creek. Bonnet Creek was nice - loved the pools, grills and the rooms were nice. The down side to Bonnet Creek was that we could hear the people in the rooms on either side of us and above us. Trying to ride their bus wasn't as easy as riding the Disney buses. They don't run all day and you have to keep up with the time if you want to return to the rooms early. Also, the buses smelled like smoke.

At the end of our vacation we all agreed we would prefer to stay on Disney property when we visit the World.
