After reading the many glowing reports on using a car service to get to and from the airport, this seemed like a good idea for my family. There will be 4 of us and we will arrive at MCO around 6pm. However, we have always taken a taxi and that has always worked out fine. Help me convince my husband that a town car is the way to go.. Please let me know your favorites!
:teeth:

I don't have fav's but check the prices. There might not be that much of a difference! that might convince him. Plus towncars include a grocery store stop if you want to stock the fridge in the room!! That will save $$ too!! :rotfl2:

The Town Car services will meet you at baggage claim and help you with your bags. They will also give you a complimentary grocery store stop. You can count on them being there and you don't wait in line for a taxi. I believe, as well, that the Town car is actually less expensive than a taxi.

We've used Tiffany Town car and have been very pleased with them. One year, we were delayed in coming in due to a major snowstorm. I called them to let them know we'd be later than expected -- they already knew and told me when we'd get there! Also, our bags went on a different flight, so they weren't where we thought they'd be. Our driver knew everyone at the airport and was able to bump us up the line to get our bags with no wait. He also knew the security guy at the grocery store. He was friendly, helpful, and all around a great guy.

I know that FL Tours sponsors this board now and I have heard good things about them, too.

when will you be travelling? if it's after 05/05/05 then disney is offering a free bus service from mco to any of their resorts...

We're going in Oct., and I'm interested in know how the new Disney shuttle works out. I'd used an outside shuttle service once before, while it was pleasant enough, it took forever to get to our hotel, as it made stops at many other hotels along the way. I might just end up using a taxi. However, I've noticed many of you have used a town car service, any suggestions on which service to use? I'd like to research that option further. Thanks.

Benefits to using towncar (BTW- we really like Tiffany Towncar-$85 w/ coupon from website)

Half hour grocery stop included. Pick up a few snacks, beer, pop for room. saves $$ in the long run.

water $2.50/bottle at the parks 2 bottles per day/per person =$20.00/day just in drinks ($140 for 7 days) vs. $10-20 at the store. The savings alone in water sells me.

Also- assistance at baggage with bags. Our driver has never let us lift anything in/out of car. Rode in style, there and back

Don't have to pay while waiting in traffic.

Don't have to stop at other resorts, as the shuttles will do. I know Magic express will be free, but who wants to ride all over WDW, after the flight/airport, on a crowded bus :crowded: . I just want to get to my room!!

I have really enjoyed using Southern Elegance town car service, and have had great service from them on several trips! (I used to use Tiffany before I found Southern Elegance, and they were fine, but I prefer the latter.) Their price is just about the same as a taxi, but as everyone else has said, they do offer the grocery stop, baggage handling, much cleaner and bigger than a taxi, personal service, etc.

Their web site is ************************************. There really is no advantage to using a taxi instead of a town car service.
