Well it's pretty much a guarantee that our October trip will be cancelled. DH doesn't have any more paid time off anymore and his job won't let him take the extra days off
Once I cancel the flight, we have til April of next year to re-book.
So ... I'm looking at either beginning of June (arrive May 28 Saturday to June 4 or 5) or beginning of October again (probably Oct 1 Saturday to the 8th or 9th)
I'm thinking mostly weather, crowds, that sort of thing. I expect October to have shorter hours and of course some Halloween stuff, but is there anything else I need to know to compare the two?
on a side note, many of you suggested contacting my credit card company for reimbursement for the flight cancellation fee ($200 PER ticket, so $800+!!!!).
It says a doctor needs to confirm in writing that the illness is severe enough to interrupt of cancel the trip. I asked my dr if he thinks I can go make a trip to DL this October and he said he doesn't see a problem. So I'm not sure I can ask him to write that letter. Seems like asking him to lie. Anyone got any advice or similar experience? I've never had to cancel a trip so this bites
