I am looking to book a couples message during our next visit. I am trying to decide between the Mandara or Grand Floridian spas. Has anyone used either one or both and if so, are there any pros and cons to either one?

Thanks!

I have not used Mandara so I can't make a comparison, but I had a massage at the Grand Floridian Spa during our last stay and I was very happy with the service. I just had a massage but the staff was very friendly and helpful, the service was wonderful, the facility was great. I'm planning to return soon.

In terms of facilities, I prefer GF. You may also want to consider the spa at the Four Seasons.

I’ve been to both though my visit to GF was prior to the closures so before the current setup. I enjoyed both massages, staff were great at both, and while the facilities were better at GF I don’t think they justify the massive price premium it charges over Mandara.

What made the GF facilities better?

I quite enjoyed JW Bonnet Creek’s Spa, might be one to consider as well. Steam room, sauna, aromatherapy misting showers.

They used to have a plunge pool that you could use for the entire day of your appointment. I'm not sure since the reopening.

Mandara is hardly a dump though, to be clear. But I just checked the prices (we're looking into booking a couples massage for our trip too) and they definitely went up since I was there, turns out they're really not that much less than the GF now. I know in the past you used to be able to find Groupons for it though.

My wife was just at Mandara. I imagine each therapist will be a little different at either place. She's ready to go back. Almost "lost" her after this last one.
