Help me choose restaurants pleeeease!

Laurie, we will have to do the banana' fosters because I make a pretty mean one myself, so DH always wants to compare. I'm sure RBJK will be much better just because of the flames :rotfl: I could just have that be my dinner!

Thanks for the picture too!

That sounds like my kinda dinner too!!! :rotfl2:

Traci, they will note it but arrive a little early to ensure a table by the water.

I must tell DH not to order the Bananas Foster at RB. He even hates getting fajitas at a restaurant because they come out sizzling and everyone looks. He would be mortified with that flame at the talbe. I bet it's delicious though.

If I could only choose one restaurant to eat at while in Disneyland, I would choose the Blue Bayou. The food is good and the atmosphere is great. :)

What's the pirate dinner?pirate:

It is not a Disney dinner, but if you have heard of the Medievil Times dinner, it is the same idea but with Pirates battling instead. We loved the Medievil Times dinner so we thought we would try the Pirate dinner this time. If you google it, they have their own website that explains it. It is about 7 miles from DL. Sorry if I you thought I was talking about a DL pirate dinner.

We always allow for good dinners in our budget, and this time we want to try some restaurants that we haven't been to before, but some of them are the same kind of food, so I thought I would get some feedback from you all! In our family is Me (Mom,Wife), DH, and DD (10). So after looking at our list, here are the restaurants we are looking at:

Cajun/Southern Cuisine:
House of Blues or Ralph Brennans Jazz Kitchen?

Italian Cuisine:
Naples Ristorante or Bucca di Beppo?

Steak:
Steakhouse 55 or Blue Bayou?

Thanks for any help!

I'm a so cal native and I hate to admit it but I'm "eh" on most of the DTD restaurants in general...with that being said.....

1. Jazz Kitchen (HoB is alright but nothing spectacular IMO.If you get in the general dining area in Jazz kitchen their life music is great and their desserts excellent! )

2. Bucca!!!!!!!! I find Naples over priced and the service hit or miss. Buca does not have to be family style, they now serve individual plates too.

3. This one is a toss up for me. The ambiance of the Blue Bayou is fun and if you are in the park you don't have to leave, but, even though I haven't eaten there yet, Steakhouse 55 is suppose to be a nice change of pace from the parks....and I would guess has better steak!

Thanks Becca! It sounds like we are choosing what you have suggested! Jazz kitchen (bananas foster, yummo), Bucca (yay for left overs), and mainly because DD was too young to remember the last visit to Blue Bayou, we are going to go there. It really helps to get feedback rather than waste money on bad food. :thumbsup2
