Hi I've found these 2 tiaras which one do you like better?

I like them both, and it depends on the hairstyle you have, but I think number two is my favorite :)

I hate to be the dissenter, but doesn't your dress have gold embroidery? I think you would look best with gold in your headpiece rather than silver, like those have. I think I'd keep looking before choosing one. ~Ev

Okay, just in case you might want more choices, here's a link to a vendor that has quite a few gold tiaras. I've seen some of this designer's styles firsthand and their tiaras are very good quality. They have a whole page of gold ones without pearls:

Princess Bride Tiaras

One way we narrowed down the choices for Kate was to place the picture of the tiara on top of the picture of the dress, to better visualize how they would look together. For instance, here's how Princess Bride Tiara's 42B (my personal favorite with your dress) would look:

I like the way this tiara resembles the vine design on your dress. There is jewelry that coordinates with it too. You could do a pic layover with all the tiaras you find that you like and then narrow your choices from there. HTH! ~Ev :)

Where did you get that tiera Ev? Its absolutely beautiful! :goodvibes I have gold in my dress and would like to see if it would work well with my dress

I'm in the minority, but I like #1. I like how the curves are picked up in the detail of the dress (which is stunning!!).

I agree that you need a gold tiara and not silver. I am having the same problem with my dress as it is ivory accented with gold and the silver tiaras do not coordinate with it at all.

Thanks for all the help so far guys!!! My dress has silver beads and gold embrodiery. BTW Ev, how did you get that pic of the tiara to lay over top of the dress....I need to learn that trick! I guess its back to the ol' drawing board.

I'm wondering what to do....I am extremely allergic to gold jewlery because it has nickel in it...I break out in poision ivy like bumps. If I go the gold tiara route that means no jewlery. Would it look weird for me to just have a tiara and veil on with no necklace or earrings???

Uh oh...now I'm freaking out! I just realized that my engagement ring is platinum...of course b/c I'm so allergic to gold! I love gold just can't wear it. Should I make sure I keep my bouquet in my left hand so that the platinum doesn't show???

IMHO I really wouldn't worry about Ur engagement ring being platinum or having silver coloured jewellery, as it will just compliment the silver beading on the dress. Whatever u decide I'm sure Ur look beautiful :)

I like number 2 better! I was so fussy about my tiara i didn't even have a 2nd option. They put the most expensive and most gorgeous tiara on me at Davids Bridal for $250 and of course i had to have it. Although, i found it online for much cheaper...i think $250 for a tiara is craziness....that was over 1/3 of the dress cost for me!!!

Good Luck!

Here's a close up of the detail on the dress. That is a heck of a lot of gold. I really don't want my engagement ring to clash b/c it will stick out like a sore thumb (platinum with sapphires) blue and gold and silver....ummmmmmm

Obvioulsly I was having a blond moment when I picked this stuff out. Any suggestions on what to do so I'm not the biggest fashion mistake ever?

My feelings are not easily hurt so go ahead and give it to me straight. Thanks guys!!!

You should be ok to wear your engagement ring with the dress- I like tiara #2 and think it will look good with the dress- It will bring out the sparkles a little more.
As far as jewelry goes for your dress how about something like diamonds or cz if you don't want to spend a lot or pearls? Pearls IMHO would bring out the dress embroidery with out taking away from it. And if you go with a silver tiara-you should be able to go with silver jewelry.

Jess, the link in that post (with the picture) will take you to the vendor who makes that tiara. There are quite a few choices on that page, and if you look to the menu on the left of that page, you will find they also have gold tiaras with pearls.

Sajetto, I think your ring will be beautiful no matter what color you are wearing. Afterall, you aren't going to take off your ring every time your outfit doesn't have silver, right? I'm sure it will look lovely. But on the subject of gold, are you allergic to gold colored rhodium too? Or just pure gold? You could go with amber-colored Swarovski crystals to get a golden effect with your dress... or perhaps have a custom necklace made at a local bead shop with amber crystals and silver beads. That would pull out both colors in your dress. I'm not sure if there is a gold electroplate on the golden tiaras or not... but as gold allergies are not completely uncommon, I would think that company makes something that would work for you. They're a very reputable and well-established company.

As for laying the photo on top of the other, I just did a photo edit to paste the tiara on top of the dress. I copied your dress pic into my graphics program and then placed the pic of the tiara where I wanted it. We did that for each of Kate's choices, and it really helped her decide. ~Ev :)
