Help me choose our MNSSHP date...

Howdy-
We are in the midst of planning our second trip this year, just for MNSSHP. During our trip their are two nights that work for us, Tuesday October 24th or Thursday Oct 26th? I was leaning heavily towards Thursday as we leave on Firday and I thought it would be a nice way to end the trip, however, I am beginning to worry that Thursday may be too crowded as it is heading into the holiday weekend. When we called for our reservations, we got the last studio at OKW on Thursday night. The cm said that they had alot of reservations checking in on Thursday. So now I am trying to decide, maybe Tuesday would be better? Am I stressing too much - Thanks in advance-Rebecca and Co.

If there are two MNSSHPs during my trip, I usually pick the one earlier in the week. First, I've found it to be light crowds (can't compare to Thurs, since we usually do Tues). Second, you mentioned Thurs is the beginning of a holiday weekend. I'd try to steer clear of that if possible. Third, I always like to have a "back door" for my plans. If they cancel the party for dangerous weather conditions (yeah, slim chance, I know, but it could happen) or if we were ill, or if we loved it sooooooooo much that we wanted to go again, there's always another opportunity later that week. You could check and see which park has late night hours for Thurs, or plan a character dinner for a special last hurrah before you depart. This year, we are going to MNSSHP on a Fri evening in Sept (the first party ), because that's the only party scheduled while we're there. Better to go with crowds than not at all!

I'm very curious, what holiday weekend is it? Halloween or another? I know that Halloween is the following Tuesday but I've been over Halloween twice now and I've never felt it made for more crowds. I actually LOVE the last week in October for the low crowds and weather (and MNSSHP!).

I'm going to MNSSHP Oct 26 this year, after we return from the 4 night DVC member's cruise. Maybe all the check ins the CM is speaking of at OKW are DVC member's extending their cruise vacation??

I'm just curious.

thanks- I think we will def get tickets for tuesday! I hadn't thought about starting early in the week in the event of poor weather, good point.

I was referring to the Halloween holiday weekend, as halloween is on a tuesday this year and in addition to the actual day, it seems most people celebrate the holiday the weekend before. Thanks for all the input-rebecca
