OP here with an update. I just wanted to thank everyone for the help! Tomorrow I will be picking up my (new to me!) 2011 Toyota Highlander. Cannot wait! I took my time deciding and waiting for the right car, and I am thrilled!

Congratulations on your purchase. We have a 2008 Highlander. I don't want to get jinxed, but we have not had one problem with it. We get normal maintenance and it has 110,000 miles on it. We have loved it and expect to keep driving it for another 100,000. You have made a great choice!

Thank you for the positive thoughts! It is a certified pre owned 2011 with 42,000 miles. Hoping I can get at least 7-9 great years out of it. I have to admit that I am not sure if I am more excited about my new car or getting rid of my old car

We went car shopping this weekend. We test drove the Explorer and the Enclave. I think we are going with the Explorer. The technology blew everything else out of the water. It also has the most options for the price.

I bought a 2013 Explorer three weeks ago and love it! Our 2002 Windstar died and wasn't worth fixing.

I bought a 2013 Explorer three weeks ago and love it! Our 2002 Windstar died and wasn't worth fixing.

I've had a '13 Explorer since September and LOVE it!! I custom ordered my XLT with the bucket seats in the second row. I couldn't find one like it on a dealers lot anywhere. It took about 5 weeks to build. You can probably get a good deal on the '13s now since the '14s are currently being ordered. Check out www.seriousexplorations.com for tons of info!!
