I want to go Oct 18, 2014 and my kids will be 3 and 6-both boys who are very sports oriented! I would love to stay at ASSp for this reason but, don't know if any groups will be going then or if they just go on school breaks? I just know my son would be in love with this theming! But, I also think POP has the better reputation and pools...And I also like ASMO!!:lmao:

I can't help you about finding out about groups, but I can tell you that I stayed at All Star Sports when the Pop warners were there. It honestly wasn't bad. They would practice on the football field in the mornings. So, when going for breakfast, you had to dodge cheerleaders - but that was the only issue. The bigger issue came in the parks. Large groups of teenagers were everywhere. Then standing in lines, there would be a couple of them and out of the blue dozens would show up - all of sudden your wait time was a lot longer. But, they weren't troublesome at the hotel. They had a lot of chaperones.

There is no way to predict groups other than some national competitions (football, cheerleading). School trips, band trips, etc. can happen at any time. Agree 100% w/ PPer that PW (in December) is NOT a big deal.

Agree :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

October is one of the slower times for big groups because of school just getting underway. It is also not true the sports groups avoid POP. I have seen groups there on multiple occasions. The only time that they were a problem was if we choose to eat at the same time. The food court was extremely busy and they took up a great deal of tables.

If you want to go to sports for the boys I would go for it. Disney is one of those places that you are always going to have some big groups to share the park with.
