Help me choose a resort

We are going for a trip in November (we were not planning on it but I got a nice bonus) we are really trying to conserve points though, while trying a new resort so opinions please! All will be a studio.

AKV Kidani Standard view 55 points

OKW (the rooms really are not my taste but i have heard its great) 45 points

BLT standard view 65 points

I guess it depends on your personal taste and how much time you spend at the resort.

Who are you traveling with and what are your goals for the time?

If you have four people, the OKW studio might be nice so everyone can have a real bed. The space could come in handy as well. The boat ride to DTD would be nice for dining options or for entertainment.

AKV would be nice as it is a beautiful resort and it could be a destination in itself. This would be especially nice if you plan to just relax at the resort and not do any parks.

BLT might be nice if you plan to hit the parks as it is very convenient for getting to MK and Epcot. Even if you planned to not hit the parks but had dining planned at the monorail resorts or WL, this would be a great location. I have not stayed here yet (JUNE!) but I've heard the studios are "tight" on space, so depending on how many people you have, this may or may not appeal. The other thing to consider is that the Standard view might not be available at 7 months (I am assuming you don't own points here).

I think all three resorts have plusses and minuses and you can be happy at any of them. Pick the one that best suits the needs of your particular group and travel plan. Have fun!!

I guess I needed to give more info It will just be my husband and myself. We will only be there for 5 days and don't plan on spending too much time at the resort, just sleeping there and using the pool occasionally. I have stayed at AKV before. I like OKW for the cheap points but like I said the decor just does not do it for me. Be will be renting a car, and will probably be spending a lot of time at EPCOT and DTD.

If trying to conserve points I'd do either the AKV Standard or OKW in that case. OKW will be a boat ride away from DTD and a short drive to Epcot with your car right outside your studio. And since you don't plan on being at the room much it might be a good time to try OKW and if the decor does bother you then it won't be such a big deal!

The one thing about the OKW studios is the two beds. From the standpoint of a couple I like the other studio config with one bed and a couch for sitting on which is why I'd consider AKV.

B/C of the point conservation I went with the two lower point options. And BLT Standard can be hard to get. Actually - at AKV I'd try for a Value Studio to have lower points and have the possibility of a Savanna or Pool view as well.

try the BLT because I think it will be really hard to stay there once its sold out---Due to the location and the rooms.

I have wanted to buy there even when it was just a little rumor because of the location and I just came back and absolutely fell in love with the rooms, they were so spacious (1 bedroom at least)

We own at the BW and the BW is my favorite resort overall just due to the theming, but the BLT is so classy!! And I'm not a classy person (I am so casual that's why the BW appeals to me, but there is something about the BLT that is so awesome. You need to stay there. We were lucky to get a SV room facing the MK and that was really awesome. I could see the castle and space mountain from bed!! We were on the 2nd floor but so close to everything! Its has a smaller feel to it because its many stories and being right on the monorail is heaven. You will love it!!! Especially if you want to go to Epcot alot. Its only a monorail ride away --NO BUSES!!!

Are all of them available for that time frame now? Do you own at those resorts? They might not be available when you can book them.

Actually I would chose either BWV/BCV (walking distance to EPCOT) or SSR (Close to Downtown Disney like OKW, however, you have indicated that you don't like the OKW decor so I wouldn't chose OKW.)
