If you had to choose between

a) 1900 Park Fare Dinner
b) Akerhaus Princess Breakfast

Which one would you choose for the best food and/or character interaction?

It depends. If you're looking to meet a lot of the princesses then you want to keep Akershus, which will have five princesses. When we ate there in March, we saw Cinderella, Ariel, Belle (she was hosting), Jasmine, and Aurora. 1900 PF has Cinderella, Prince Charming, the stepsisters and the stepmother. My kids thought the stepsisters were very funny and enjoyed watching Cinderella and the Prince dance. My DD (age 5) would pick Akershus hands down as the one to keep. I prefer 1900 PF - liked the food much better and thought the stepsisters were hysterical!

Yes, I say the one in Norway too. My kids both enjoyed the princesses and dinner there.

This is hard because we really like both. If your child really wants to meet Cinderella and doesn't particularly care about the other princesses I would do 1900 Park Fare. If seeing a bunch of princesses at once is the goal, then do Askerhaus. I thought the character interaction in both places was great and the food was good. At Askerhaus we saw Belle, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Snow White, Jasmine and Mulan.

Lunch at Akershaus was great. The princesses rotated through at a good pace and the food was good. DD was thrilled because this was/is the only meal Ariel attends.
1900 PF dinner was wonderful. The only princess is Cindy, but the interaction between the Step-mother and sisters (and the guests) was AMAZING!

1900 Park Fare had wonderful food and great character interaction though it was just Cindy and "family". Have not done the other one.

We vote Akershus as well. Our girls love it and the food is good too! Have a great trip!

We just got back and did both. Personally, I liked the food at 1900 better and for us, the characters spent more time with us there. FYI, DD6 did not like Drizella, "She was mean." Drizella wanted to marry DS10 and DD could be their maid:rotfl:. I think this is why DS enjoyed the interaction so much.
DD6 would say she liked the Princess breakfast better. Her fav is Sleeping Beauty. Cinderella, Aurora, Belle(hostess), Snow White & Ariel were there.

We have done both. The last two years my DD has picked the Princess breakfast over 1900. I personally like the Princess breakfast food and the interaction is great. Belle has hosted the last few years and we have seen, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Jasmine and Mary Poppins there. It's funny because the year we did 1900, the sisters were not here but Perla and Suzy the mice were. The food at the 1900 dinner was great but we enjoy the Princess breakfast much better. :)

By far the most princess for your buck is Akershus! You get that great photo op with Belle in her ball gown and 5-6 other princesses visit your table throughout your meal. The food is okay- not amazing. But even my picky husband found something good to keep him from going hungry.
One of the best buffets is at 1900 Park Faire. The strawberry soup is amazing and there are many great choices for kids and adults alike. But... you will only get one princess. Cinderella is the only princess there. The prince and Fairy Godmother are there. You may get the stepsisters (they are a lot of fun), and breakfast will give you Mary Poppins or Alice and a couple of fuzzy characters. We had Tigger and Pooh last time.
If it's princesses you want... go to Norway.

Akershus was an easy choice for us because we were taking DD and her two friends, none of which would say Cinderella is their favourite. The great thing about it was that all of the adults loved the food and the restaurant too.

This is now one of our fave restaurants in all of WDW.

BTW, why are you comparing breakfast at Akershus with dinner at 1900 PF?

I say SAVE your money!! We did the princess dinner in Norway because my daughter loves Aurora. It was nice having the princesses come to the table (for maybe one minute each) but the food wasn't great. I definitely will not be doing it again. I just think the character meals are overpriced and overrated. Not looking for flames, just giving my opinion. I would rather spend that kind of money on something else.
