Help me choose a lunchtime location :)

We are such creatures of habit that we always eat at the same places every trip so this time I want to try somewhere different. I've read the reviews but some are quite old so I was wondering - which table service or buffet location in the park (Magic Kingdom - we are doing Chez Remy in the Studios) would you choose and why? We *always* do Walts which I love but I know there are others that are just as good and I think we should branch out a bit!

I'd be particularly interested to hear about recent experiences of the Lucky Nugget, Silver Spur, Plaza Gardens and Agrabah Cafe as I have never eaten at any of these places

Plaza Gardens is a lovely buffet restaurant with choice for everyone. They really cater for all with gratin potatoes, lasanga, chicken wings, beef burgers, roast, pizza, vegie vegetable mix, ...
We always go there at least once each trip.

The Silver Spur is nice, we have had lunch there twice this year. I always enjoy lunch at the Blue Lagoon and the Lucky Nugget is nice for a counter service resturant.

I had two nice meals at Café des Cascadeurs in WDS, on my last trip in June. Nice authentic surroundings for a hot dog or burger and served at your table too and cooked to order.

In all these years of going we still have not tried Agrabah Cafe.

Hi there! Never been to any of those other places; but I can tell about Agrabah! I've been there twice, both in 2012 (maybe not exactly "recent" per se, sorry) and we all loved it!! That's why on our second trip that summer we just had to go back. I adore the theming there---make sure to walk through all the rooms before you leave! And the buffet is heavenly...I couldn't say everything that they had but I can tell you the obvious standouts I remember: DELISH bean and pasta salads for starter, also delish lamb for the main, and saffron cookies (sounds bizarre but they were so good) and a crêpe bar the kids loved for dessert!

Definitely Agrabah! We love it in there. Not eaten there since 2012 but forget the food, IMO it's worth a visit for the theming alone!

I love the Lucky Nugget. The theming is fabulous and a lit of the time there is a piano guy playing fun tunes!
The ribs are delicious, the burgers are yummy and you get a lot of chips, plus a dessert (I love the fruit cups). But the biggest bonus for us, is the unlimited drinks. In Summer it's a huge blessing, and in Winter, it's so warm

Wow thank you for all your replies - it looks like The Lucky Nugget and Agrabah will make it into this trip then I was really on the fence about Agrabah so it's really useful to hear from people that have eaten there and liked it

Jonjo I would love to eat at Café des Cascadeurs but in over ten trips it has always seemed to be closed on the day we were in WDS

Speaking of closures am I imagining it or did the official website used to have the opening times of restaurants on it? I'm trying to navigate the new look website for this info and not getting very far! I know Agrabah isn't always open everyday in the winter...
