We are staying in an offsite hotel for 2 nights and spending some time at DTD before checking into our WDW hotel. Can anyone recommend their favorite hotel near DTD? We will have our car so if the hotel is really nice with a great price we wouldn't mind driving 5 minutes or so. I am looking at the Radisson-Lake Buena Vista right now. I love that they have a sofa bed since we are a family of 5.

Any opinions??

The new Hilton Bonnet Creek looks very nice and is close to DD. We had a room reserved last March but decided to stay on Disney property, and the rate was less than $100 per night. I don't know if there would be any special rates when you go, but you could check.

With a family of 5, I would go for one one the suite hotels. For example, Buena Vista Suites or Sheraton Vistana. They are both a short drive to downtown Disney and you won't be hit with extra parking or resort fees.

I´ll go for the Double Three Guest Suites In DTD.Hotel Plaza Blv.
It has 2 big beds and 1 double sleeper sofa. 2 tvs.fridge,micro.
I´ll go for this because its for super sale prise at 79$ night, inc breakfast for 2.
You need the mousesavers special link to get this price ´w breakfast ,and 72 hr cancelation policy.
You can get the 79$ price anywhere but that has an no cancelation and no breakfast policy.
Let me know if you need the mousesavers link.

Roger.

Hilton Bonnet Creek is a new beautiful resort and does not charge a resort fee or parking fee. I do think the Doubletree might be a great option though especially with the rate offered on the mousesaver link.

Thanks for all of the ideas everyone. As far as the mousesavers link...is that in the July email because I have that in my inbox??

We love the Caribe Royale but this time we are staying at the World Center Orlando Marriott which I got for $97/night.

Just want to say that the Hilton Bonnet Creek is amazing. Really close to DTD. I was there for a quick weekend excursion. Try the steak from room service, the best fries I have ever had.

Also if you can try to make reservations at the Bull and Bear at the Waldorf hotel. Their food is so good. Try the chocolate mousse. Just wanted to put in my two cents.

Hilton Bonnet Creek charges $13 plus tax for self parking and $20 plus tax for valet parking.

I did not know this. When we were going the resort had just opened, and the rate of the rooms was so low that I booked it and then cancelled because we decided to rent DVC points.
