For our trip in a couple months our first day is Sunday. We will spend all day Saturday driving and need to find a hotel for one night (twice actually - the night before checking in to ASM and the night after leaving the parks before our drive home the next day).

I looked at downtowndisneyhotels.com and after calling Doubletree they also offered Hilton and Hampton at lesser rates. These two apparently are not in Downtown Disney area, but does anyoen know exactly where they are? Any recommendations?

Holiday Inn SunSpree also sounded good.

We just need those two nights and would love a free breakfast and a short hop to All-Star movies to check in as early as possible.

Advise me. Hampton, Hilton, Holiday Inn SunSpree or somewhere else?

Thanks so very much

Buena Vista Suites, 1 mile from Disney
Anyway I got a 1 bedroom suite two queen beds, sleeps up to 6, full breakfast, newly remodled room for $74.96 plus tax. If you call and book on Thursday you can get their sale. It saved me $35 dollars off my AAA rate. I have been researching a one night hotel and this place has good reviews.

Here is the link (not sure if I am allowed to put it here)

I just stayed at the country inn and suites on 535. Right by downtown disney. I usually stay at comfort inn on palm parkway but they were booked and I got a good rate on travelzoo at the country inn. Very clean, free breakfast (you can make your own waffles), great location and free internet access. I wish I had stayed there the whole time instead of the week at Pop Century. This is a very good location because there are many places to eat, like subway where you can get $5 footlong subs.

I would have to ditto on this one... as opposed to what OP looked into.. this would be cheaper and just as nice...

another I would condisder would be Comfort Inn on Palm Parkway.. it is fairly decent and cheap.. get breakfast too...

Country Inn in LBV has some great rates posted which include breakfast....I know the location which is perfect for us. I think I could use a kick of encouragement to save money and try this hotel. :3dglasses

the comfort inn is very run down in my opinion as opposed to the country inn which are both in the very same location. Just my opinion.

It isn't very run down, many of the rooms have been redone. While the Country Inn is better, the Comfort Inn isn't that bad.. have you been there lately? I have seen a big change in them over the years. I usually stay there at least once a year (when on a tight budget). There staff is super and if you do have a problem with your room, they will change you ASAP :thumbsup2 You can check out some of the recent threads on them...nearly everyone is saying the same thing.. they have gotten better...:goodvibes but to each his/her own...

I've noticed that Expedia has some very low rates ($27/night) for hotels that have star ratings in the high 2's and low 3's. It may be worth checking out. You surely don't want to spend a lot for just a quick stop over.
