Since DD is 11 and is considered a Disney adult, we're planning to only do 2 character meals this trip.

On the past 3 trips, we have began our vacation with dinner at Garden Grill. I'd like to keep that tradition going, but not sure if it is worth it. We've enjoyed the food in the past, but will be they still bring out the kid offerings even if there are no "kids" at our table?

Here are the other character meals I'm considering.
Cape May breakfast - eaten breakfast here once
Hollywood and Vine lunch/dinner - never eaten here
Crystal Palace lunch/dinner - eaten breakfast here 3 times

We aren't big eaters, especially at breakfast. So even though breakfast is cheaper, not sure it would be the best value for us. We'll be paying OOP and Minnie Mouse is my favorite character! Which 2 meals should we pick?

People on here have been saying Hollywood and vine is not good for lunch or dinner (food wise).
Tusker House was great, I'd definitely recommend looking into it.

We love breakfast at Cape May. We have only done breakfast at Crystal Palace and love it there as well. Another favorite is TH breakfast.

we've loved H&V for dinner the past few times. And the characters are always great. and it's fun to see them dressed up for whatever season it is. Food has been very good. Wasn't crazy about the offerings at Tusker House. Wasn't much we liked there.

I've read mixed reviews and wasn't really interested until I heard about it being Minnie's Seasonal Dine and thought it might be one we'd want to try since I love Minnie Mouse. We had lunch at TH house once and we didn't enjoy it. We've also had breakfast at TH and it was better, but thinking if we decide to do breakfast, we'll do Cape May on our check out day. We can walk over from the BW.

From your choices I'd go with Crystal Palace and Hollywood and Vine. I prefer the parks for character meals.

We love breakfast at Tusker House. It's one character meal we tend to do every trip. For our upcoming trip, we booked Crystal Palace for dinner. It's been awhile since we've been there and I love that it's in the MK.

We are like you, not big breakfast eaters and just usually do oatmeal and cereal in the room and head out. It's just not a great value. For us with our kids in tow, we did Ohana and loved it. We saw Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, Stitch and the food was good but pricey. $120ish for the four of us. IMO, as not into breakfast as we are we really liked it. We all had fun, we loved the Stitch juice, the food was really good and served family style so it's a good variety of food too. I have heard nothing good about Hollywood and Vine, haven't eaten there in a really really long time and I can't recall how my prior experience was but it's not looking good from the DIS boards or other people I talk to. It's a shame since it's a great location/character meal too.
