that we need an adults only trip for our tenth anniversary in August/September/October 2007.

Some background - we are coming up on our ten year anniversary. We have 2 kids - a 6 year old son and a 2 year old daughter.

I am a disney freak. I LOVE all things Disney. He is less than enthused. The refrain from him in our house is "Kristen, there are other places to visit besides Disney. There is the Grand Canyon, Washington DC, Seattle! What about Boston? Salt Lake City? Martha's Vineyard? Bueller? Bueller?" By this point, my eyes have glazed over and I start saying things like, "But, at Disney, there are glass slipper desserts. I want a white chocolate slipper!!!!!"

We have gone to Disneyworld a few times together. We have always stayed offsite (my parents have a timeshare). I have recently decided we need to stay onsite. So, we have a trip planned with the kidlets for Jan 10 - 17th at Pop. He is getting into it, but not as much as me (of course). I am in full out planning mode.

I recently realized that the potential free dining event for 2007 could intersect with our 10th anniversary (Oct 4th). We may have to go a little early, but whatever! So, I am thinking we may need a 3 - 4 day trip for us, JUST us, for our anniversary. To Disneyworld of course. He has this thing that we shouldn't go to Disney without the kids. He would feel too guilty. Maybe because I am the one who does the lion's share of childcare (he travels a lot for work), but I feel no guilt whatsoever.....

Help me brainwash him. His answer will be, "Dude. We just got back from Disney. And NYC without the kids in February (we have a Valentine's trip planned sans kids - but that is also for my work). We have to go back to Disney again? Your parents probably won't love watching the kids so we can go away AGAIN. 3 times in one year?"

I am thinking of all the things I can use to sway him....the racecar thingee (that would be a great anniversary gift to him). What else? Help me!!!!!
