I did this once before for DD to keep her motivated to go to a bunch of garage sales one morning- created a bingo card of things to look for at the sales- the items had to be for sale. She liked it and requested it for tomorrow- we will have 2 13 year olds and 1 10 year old with us for a full morning of saling. I will have the 3 cards be somewhat different, so I need more than 25 ideas. Some should be commonly found at GS, others should be more rare for a challenge.

I know last time DD found everything except for a toaster and a skate board. She was delighted when she found a chicken figurine at the last one we were going to...so those three were tricky.

So far for this go round, I have:
Barbie Doll
Car seat
Arthur book
Disney VHS
Baby tennis shoes
Curtains
Elmo toy
Earrings

Give me some more ideas! :goodvibes

Candles, bed sheets, Disney DVD, Something new in package, McDonalds toys, any kitchen items....

I will keep thinking :)

Sounds like fun.

How about:

Yarn (my favorite as a crocheter)
Old issues of Readers Digest
Old TV
Frogs (not real, ornamental)
Old Beatles albums or CDs

Very good...adding some of these...

I also came up with
Computer printer
Diet book
Animal print article of clothing
Christmas platter
prom dress

Christmas ornaments
noisy toy
A kitchen gadget from an infomercial/as seen on TV!

Beanie Baby
Red purse
remote control car
baby stroller

rotary dial phone
eye glasses
instamtic polaroid camera the kind where pictures come out
record album

Well since they are currently what I am looking for at garage sales...:rotfl2:

Mr.Potato Head
Something with Dora the Explorer on it.

Thanks everybody! I've got them finished. In addition to some of the above suggestions, I also added

Barbie doll with a bad haircut
Something with feathers
artificial flowers
train item
hand tool
power tool
wooden shelf
waffle iron
cleats
American flag item
goose item

Should be fun! Now for my own personal list of things to find- girls clothes size 12/14, junior clothes size Small, navy dress pants size 8, things that I can sell on eBay for lots of money...maybe the kids will have better luck with their lists!

snowglobe
matchbox car
Disney character item
ugly sweater (holiday theme?)
flower vase
fish bowl
weights
fake flowers

a plunger
a pair of mittens
red shoes
an easter basket
a lawnmower
a pair of rollerblades

:confused3 what a fun idea!

Well DD10 got 24 of 25. DD13 and Dnephew13 both were missing 4 or 5. The elusive item for all of them was yarn. We also did not find a "Twilight" item, Disney DVD (but plenty of VHS!), toy tractor, Barbie with a bad haircut, or waffle iron.

I think it really helped, they didn't start tiring of garage sales until about 3-3.5 hours into it. The funny thing was last time we did it, DD never did find a toaster. Today, we saw 3.

Anyway, I highly recommend this game for those that have kids going to sales with you!
