Ok so I am no stranger to Disneyland but we usually stay with MIL 3 miles away - but her house is being renovated, so when we went in May, we stayed at a hotel - booked thru getawaytoday.com...It was far, we still had to drive and park.

So we are going again in October. I would like to stay CLOSE so that we can walk - we have 2 DD's 2 and 5, so we really would like something RIGHT across the street so that we don't have to deal with a bus shuttle with the double stroller.

Requirements:

CLOSE
Free breakfast
Free internet
Fridge AND microwave
2 King or Queen beds - we tried the kids suite before and my 2yr old will not sleep in the bunk bed, so no go on that for awhile. LOL

Our budget is under $150/night with check in Oct 6th (Weds) and check out Oct 9th (Saturday) so 3 nights total.

Anyone up to the challenge? We do have AAA if needed.

Thanks in advance!

You may need to ask others about accomodations but I found the Anaheim Desert Inn & Suites have a lot of what your asking for.

Free Continental Breakfast
Indoor Heated Pool & Spa
Disneyland® Resort Fireworks Viewing Deck
Dry Cleaning Service
Hairdryers
Iron with Ironing Board
Voice Mail
Refrigerators
Free Limited Parking
Cable TV with Premium Channels
Fax Service
Microwaves
Wireless Internet
Coffee Makers
Game Room
Gift Shop
In-Room Safes
Guest Laundry

right across from the main entrance. Cost is around $100 a night for 2 queens. I have never stayed there again, so you might want to ask around.

I ran your dates/requirements through the Best Western website & found that Best Western Park Place Inn (right across the street from the main entrance to Disneyland) would be $138 a night (not including tax + parking)with your AAA discount. Here's the link to the site I used : http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/advSearch.do

BWPPI is the closest non-Disney-owned hotel; the room I found has 2 queen beds + fridge + microwave + wireless internet & free breakfast.

Hope that helps!

You could also try the Candy Cane Inn's premium room. They have an AAA discount as well! I have read that it is a very pretty motel!

BWPPI is right across the stress, so is the Tropicana. Both are nice places to stay with doors opening outside. We've stayed in both, the BWPPI we stayed 1 nite but it was a decent room. The Trop has a great pool area and the rooms are nice.

The HoJo is across the street about an 8 min walk or so. But the HoJo doesn't have a free bfast, it does have the Ent Rate tho which can be as low as $59 a nite. When we stay at the HoJo (our fave off site hotel) we bring bfast stuff ourselves, which really seems to be better then most free bfasts. :) We definitely LOVE the HoJo. :)

The CCI is about the same distance as the HoJo, it has a FREE dedicated shuttle and free bfast. If the HoJo does not have the Ent Rate we liked staying at the CCI. :) It has the BEST bfast we had at a Harbor hotel, definitely good.

I also agree that BWPPI has all the amenities that you require. It doesn't have a full breakfast, but a continental breakfast at Captain Kidd's restaurant upstairs room. We love the location of BWPPI that it is right next to the entrance on the east side of DLR.

We will be staying at the BWPPI in October. I checked and our dates are more expensive at the Tropicana. The wireless internet is free at BWPPI but there is a $9.95 charge at Tropicana. If you read the FAQ, the Tropicana's continental breakfast has less items than BWPPI and charges extra ($1 per item) for items like bagels, milk and cereal. The pool at the Tropicana seems much nicer than BWPPI but I doubt we'll be doing any swimming in October. To me, it seems that BWPPI would work out better for you. They do charge $8 if you have a vehicle to park, and I'm not sure if Tropicana does?

We just stayed at the Park Vue Inn a couple of weeks ago, and they are directly acrossed the street from DL...plus their free breakfast has really improved. They had eggs, waffles, fresh fruit, biscuits a wide variety of choices. Also, I know that they have suites and rooms with bunkbeds. We'll probably be staying there again in Oct. when we go back to DL.

Park Vue Inn is supposed to be nice. I think its around $125 a night during your scheduled dates. Do you have park tickets? Park Vue also has package specials which include room and tickets plus a welcome gift basket.

No we don't have tickets yet.

DH is using our Disney Visa for work expenses right now, so hoping that we can get a couple of tickets free by the time that we go...LOL

Should I book SOON or wait until closer to the date? Does it matter? Do prices change?

I just want to get the most bang for my buck...I am pretty cheap. ;)

Thanks so much you guys for the info!

The Staybridge Suites has free breakfast and very nice rooms and is close. You may want to try the link on another thread for the Friends and Family Rate. It may end up being a lot cheaper - but I wouldn't make a decision until you are less than 90 days out. Most discounts aren't great for any hotels over that point. The early bird doesn't necessarily get the worm when it comes to travel deals! Good Luck!

I'm no help because I'm looking for the same info myself, but for the week after but recognized your name and wanted to say to another bargain hunter mama!
