My co worker planned a great trip for her family in October and I her 45 day is approaching but she says she will not be able to make the final payment until a week later. So she asked me if her reservation will be cancelled.
I hope I did not come off as a snob but I don't know the answer so here I come to my DISboard family who I know somebody got an answer!!

She should call them and let them know. But it won't be cancelled on the 44th day or anything, it would take longer than that. I think it's around the 30 day mark from what I have seen posted here.
 
I agree that they aren't strict to the 45 day thing. My TA and I had a communication mix up a few days before my last payment was due (we both screwed up and it was the perfect storm of screw-ups). Anyways he was automatically able to give me a seven day extension to get our paperwork and payments in order. He came out with it so fast that it led me to believe that is the standard but they just don't advertise it. Still call though and let them know.
 
As the pp's said, her reservation will not cancel if not paid right at 45 days. From what I understand, if the final payment isn't received by the 45 day mark, she will get a reminder email that payment has not been made and is due. As vicki_c mentioned, I believe it's around the 30 day mark that it will cancel. She should call Disney and make them aware of it so they can put a note on her reservation, but she should be fine paying it a week later.
