HELP make my decisions for me!!

So we were planning on heading to DL sometime in 2008 but now with the special out I asked my Dh should we go and said sure

THe 4th night free is only good til December so I need to book. I have never been to DL. Only WDW once. I have 3 kiddos (10yr girl, 5 yr girl, 2 yr old boy).

We have seen the video and think the Disneyland hotel looks cool

We will be driving from Beale AFB so we won't need to worry about rental cars and plane tickets.

So I need help planning. Where do I start? SHould I just book through disneyland.com?

Any suggestions on hotels?
Places to eat?
Character breakfast?
HELP! PLEASE!!
