Help Make It Special

My husband and I are planning a suprise 8th birthday trip for our daughter in early October. We were planning to wait until the limo pulls into the driveway(we always told her that when we went to Disney a limo would take us to the airport) but now I've got another idea. Her birthday is the day before we leave, and I was thinking of making a special gift (ears, autograph book, photo album, epcot passport, etc)and giving it to her to reveal the suprise...what do you think? Any other ideas would be appriciated, too
