Does anyone hae any suggestion about finding a room that we can all sleep in with possible kitchen to save money on those meals and close to WDW? I know i am asking alot but we wnat to budget as much as we can we have looked at Staybridge, Holiday Inn Express and Holiday inn Family suites .
Any comments on tose or ppossible other suggestions. the kids are 11 & 3 if that makes a difference. My parents are traveling with us and we are trying to spend the least as possible. we are traveling December 1-8 going down for the Christmas Party

You'd probably be best off renting one of the condo's at Emerald Island or someplace like that. I understand a 2BR/2BA can go for as low as $65-70 a night. That's not a lot of money for privacy and space!

There are NO hotels in the area that will provide you a kitchenette for that rate that you'd want to stay at.

Your best bet is to rent a 3 bdrm townhouse or condo at Windsor Hills or somewhere similar. At that time of year you should get a price of somewhere between $70-$95 per night. It is very close to the Animal Kingdom.

Personally, when we travel at that time of year we like to use the Ready, Set, Go auctions at Skyauction. We have used them 3 times and have paid $266 for the entire week in a 2bdrm condo. With 4 adults, though, you would probably want at least a 3 bdrm ( I just checked skyauction, and they only have 2 bdrms for your dates right now). The price has gone up recently but if you could find a 3 bdrm you would pay about $350.

Other than trying a condo or skyauction, you can also try www.hotelkingdom.com, and www.alpharooms.com. Good luck!

I would suggest the following:

http://www.floridasunvacationhomes.com/subdivision.asp?ID=10 (Scroll down to the very bottom for the condos.)

They have some VERY nice 3 bedroom/2 bath condos for well under $100/night. These particular condos are in the subdivision of Windsor Hills, which is only about a 5 minute drive to WDW. I was quoted $76/night for one of their condos during value season next August. I believe that early December is also their value season. Please feel free to PM if you have any questions. I have rented with this company previously and have only good things to say about them.:thumbsup2

Go to redweek.com or tug2.net and check out the timeshares being offered by the owners for rent on certain weeks...we've done this before and saved a TON of $$$ while getting a superior accomodation.

Hawthorne Suites on Canada Avenue has 2 bedroom suites and has kitchenette. Check it out. Plus it comes with free breakfast.

We are going to be staying in Hawthorn Suites in Lake Buena Vista, on Palm Parkway, just outside Downtown Disney(minutes from). The bedroom has two queen size beds and the living room has a pull out sofa. It has a full kitchen , with two burner stove, full refrigerator. They also have free breakfast, not just packaged stuff, like donuts.

Check them out on tripadvisor for customer reviews. I laugh when I hear people's comments about the size of their pool, or that some people can get tired of the free breakfast choices, but we aren't going to Disney to swim in a hotel pool, and if different kinds of eggs, and cereals, fruit and waffles can get boring, what else is there, I ask?

We have 2 adults and 3 kids(8,12,14) and we love having the bigger space in the room, to let the kids chill in the bedroom, while we are cooking up something. We have stayed at Homewood Suites(now Extended Stay) on Palm Parkway before, it was nice, but we thought we might try somewhere else. Try to save some $ whenever possible. Good Luck!

I agree with the other posts - you will probably be better with a 3 bed townhome or condo :) You can have a lovely townhome with plenty of room for you & your kids plus a nice bedroom for your parents - all at a very reasonable cost. Quite a lot of the townhomes have a private hot-tub or splash pool and there will be some with a host of Community amenities aswell :cool1:

Try a site like www.homeaway.com where you can put specific requirements into the search requests.

Good luck finding something :thumbsup2

Very central, smallest unit is a 2 bed and sleeps 8, over 1000 sq ft, full kitchen, washer, dryer, pool, beside seaworld and premium outlets, great place to stay and great prices!

I would look into Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort! Very Close to Disney Theme Parks (near MGM and Epcot) It is located right next to Disney's Carribean Beach Resort. Pop Century is behind the resort. They have a 2 Bedroom that sleeps up to 8 people with fullly stocked kitchen, living room, dining room, balcony, etc.. Great activities on-site. Lazy River Pool, Water Slide Pool, Minuature Golf, Volley Ball, Fitness Center, Pool Bar + Grill, Family Games & Parties, Dive-in Movie Night, etc...FUN! They are running a Special Promotion now. Usually only open to timeshare owners. Excellent Prices! Check out the link below for availability and prices:

I don't know how you feel about ebay, but I've used it some and gotten great deals.

Bonnet Creek and Cypress Pointe Resort/Cypress Pointe Grande Villas come up on there quite often for very good deals. BC is in a GREAT location (actually have to drive onto the Disney property to get to it). CPR/CPGV are only a couple or three blocks from Downtown Disney. We stayed at CPGV the week before Christmas last year and paid $300 for a 2BR unit (and had three of them at that rate). We loved it and the location.

That said, I only rent on ebay if the seller has very good feedback, is not a recent member, uses Paypal for my protection (I also use a credit card for additional protection), and is SquareTrade verified.

Good luck!

I've stayed at Bonnet Creek, and it is great. You'll be able to fit in a 2 bedroom easily, but you and your parents might fight over who gets the wonderful master suite with the jacuzzi tub! I've rented other Wyndham properties on e-bay with great success.
