Disney's Fairy Tale Wedding at Sea Breeze Point November
Ok Ladies... This is my opinion.... First I have to say that Lisa did my hair and make up along with my entire wedding Mother, MIL plus 2 flower girls.... And she went above and beyond her magic... We all looked like movie stars on the red carpet. To me she was a blessing and I will never forget her...
Now back to my opinion.... For those of you who said that they did not like the way their hair came out and did not bother to say anything... I have to say that is all your fault. And I am going to tell you why... I spoke to Lisa in great lengths about her pictures... A lot of the times there are brides out there that does want that cookie cutter look... That is what they request.... Other than the cookie cutter looks... Did you bother to take a look at the other pictures that had designs that i have never seen ever not even on her competitors sites... She does what you ask her to do...
Maggimus not sure why you are complaining because not only to me but to others you looked beautiful and I don't see anything wrong with your hair and make up. As for Lisa not wanting you facing a mirror if you have asked she would tell you why she does that... She does that so that while you are sitting in the chair that you do not start to turning your head to see the sides or start pulling a piece here and there and the next thing you know is that your hair is looking all lop sided... Same thing with the make up... Lisa never puts on heavy eye liner on wedding days for the simple fact that when you take pictures your eyes will look deep and weird and then you blame the photography for the crappy pictures when in fact this what you asked for... Now the reason while I am saying this because a couple of my girls spoke out on the likes and dislikes.... And guess what??? Lisa had no problem taking it down and redoing it.... And she did it with out a complaint... And no she didn't have to rewash the hair. The extra spray is better especially if you have fine hair. She is a true professional and she is down to earth and if you don't like something just let her know... She does not bite... She has been doing this for many years and I have seen the many albums, cerificates, awards. and celebraties that wil only request her and no one else. I asked her about her experiences and she had shown me when I went to her for my trial run.
Also you have to remember something about all of these stylist... They all work very hard and the do this from sometime 4am to do MK shoots at your request... Meaning that depend where they live they are up way longer than you before they come knocking at your door and you are still alseep knowing you had to be up at 4am. So image doing at least 3 or 4 a week... And they finally have a wedding that starts a little later and they say "I am so glad I didn't have to wake up so early" They are talking about 2am not 9:30.... I would be saying the same thing if I had to get up that early to do someones hair...
Also becarefully on what you read on here... How do we know that these negative comments are coming from actual brides and not from competitors who will try to discredit you... Call this people. get a feel for them and ask questions... Bring pictures... Try to get a trial run... Do something... But just don't sit there and say nothing and turn around put on here for all to read because it's no one elses fault but your own because you didn't speak up. And the thing that made me laugh is that you all say she is a great person and so sweet and caring and jazz but then you turn around and say you had a bad experience but you made a friend... It's almost contradicting yourselves...
We all (ladies) love to talk but when it comes to speaking up it's like oh no...
Ask and you shall receive... Simple as that...
Since you have addressed me personally... I feel the need to respond.
As for your comment

That makes me laugh. It is very obvious you are new here-- with a low post count. You have had the ability to read my trip report-- whether you did or not. Those photos are of me, I promise. And if you look at my post count-- people here know me (some know me personally)- they know I'm not a competitor from Orlando trying to slander someone and take their business. I simply didn't like Lisa's work on my wedding day. I'm not the only person who didn't like her-- similar to how some didn't like their officiant, or their wedding coordinator, or their photographer. Lisa is no different. This is a place to come for honest information and I feel I provided as honest of information as I could. I even gave examples, photos, and explained in great detail in my trip report why I wasn't happy. I simply didn't say "i didn't like her, don't use her". I wanted people to know why I didnt like her. I don't like giving bad reviews at all. I definitely wished I could have come back and gave a better one.
And the thing that made me laugh is that you all say she is a great person and so sweet and caring and jazz but then you turn around and say you had a bad experience but you made a friend... It's almost contradicting yourselves...
I was not contradicting myself by saying she was a real nice and sweet lady. I will say that again and again. Just because she is nice and friendly doesn't mean she does the best quality of hair and makeup. I didn't contradict myself. Just because I like someones personality doesn't mean I like what they do, or shouldn't speak up. We are talking about people's wedding day. Something that will be remembered for years and years to come. Makeup, Hair, and Photography are all VERY important on a wedding day.
Bring pictures... Try to get a trial run... Do something... But just don't sit there and say nothing and turn around put on here for all to read because it's no one elses fault but your own because you didn't speak up
I had photos... we had discussed what I wanted. As for not speaking up. I probably should have said something to her about it. However, I had originally booked the appointment an hour before she came- and she said she wouldn't need that long so she moved me up an hour. Once she was finished with the hair *that i didn't like* and the makeup that *wasn't my colors* I had ONLY enough time for my mom to get her makeup done and Randy to take a few photos before we left in the limo. There was not enough time for me to wash my face, take down my hair, re-do it, and re-do my makeup. I had to put my gown on while my mom got ready and finish my jewelry, etc.
I'm sorry that you disagreed. I guess its a good thing that we all don't think alike- or else this world would be pretty boring.
Hope you have a good weekend!
ETA: All but 1 post you have made here since being a member of the DISboard has mentioned Lisa and her website. I hope that if you are Lisa, a friend, or work for her-- you understand that in the line of business such as hair and makeup- you will have customers who arent pleased. You cannot make everyone happy. But please understand why I shared my experience with others. Im so happy that others told me about their experiences-- because I got some wonderful vendors out of it that made my day extra special.
