I apologize in advance because I'm sure my question has been asked before but I am having trouble finding the answer by searching. We are taking a friend with us on our upcoming trip who will be purchasing his own annual pass. He is not staying at our resort but I have booked and paid for his room at another onsite resort. I have a magic band for him associated with that room. What is the best way moving forward for him to buy his pass, link it to the resort and magic band I've already booked for him on my MDE and for me to be able to plan his fastpasses with ours? At the end of the trip I will want to give back control of his pass to him for future trips he may take without us.

I can buy his pass myself and get reimbursed by him if that's the easiest way but I worry about giving it back to him at the end of the trip so he can have his own control with his own MDE. If he purchases his pass on his own with his own MDE account is there a way I can have control for this trip only, linking it to plans I've already created for him?

Thanks for the help.

He needs to create his own MDE account, link his pass there and then the two of you need to link your MDE’s through Friends and Family. If you need help, call Disney IT.

In order for him to have his own MDE account after the trip, he needs to set it up now. If you made dining plans you can change the person associated with those plans, and the same with the room booking. He can setup his own account, and then link to your account as Friends & Family. After that point, you can add that account to the bookings for him. He can then buy the pass and link it to his account. After the trip, to completely sever ties you would just change/remove the F&F settings.

Thank you both. What you suggested worked perfectly!
