Help, leaving for DIS and EBAY problem

Hey can anyone help me.... I have an item that a buyer hasn't recieved, I shipped it on Oct 12th! I only have INS but not tracking :( .

I leave Friday for Disney ... what can I do ?? She is getting upset and I do not blame her...

HELP !!!

If you have insurance, go to the post office. They will be able to track the package and see what is going on.
 
If you have insurance, I believe you can also track it online with the tracking number provided on the slip. If it is not received by today, I would head down to your local USPS and find out what happened to it. It may be that you need to refund the ebayer their money and then fill out a reimbursement form to get your money back from USPS. I always add 45 or 55 cents to my item so that will include delivery confirmation - you may want to do that from now on. It has helped out many times.
 
No you cant track it with the insurance slip however its a bit early to file for an insurance claim..it may seen like its been a long time but depending on how it was shipped it may not be extremely late yet.

How was it shipped and how far was it going?
 

I went to the PO today and asked what happened. There were very helpful and told me she would track it and call me. Now the lady took my number and said she would call me after she looked it up because there was a line. She thought I could do this too, but I can't.

She called and said that it is on its way and that she has seen it take 3+ weeks for parcel lately for some reason. She said she was sorry and wasn't sure why they were so slow.

I looked around on www.usps.com and saw this:

Can I Track an Insured Mail item on the Internet or through the toll free number?

At the present time, you cannot determine the status of an insured item via our web site or through our toll free number. Insurance does not provide tracking for the item; we are not able to tell you where the item is within the mail stream or when it will be delivered.

I feel so bad for the buyer !!! :(
 
this is a tough situation. if your post office could give you info. maybe if you give her the insurance number hers can too. I had a problem with parcel post taking a long time a couple times and I now no longer use it unless I have del. confirmation. Anyhow see if she is understanding if you have all positives she should see you are telling the truth. i had something take a month with parcel post this was the last straw,I was lucky my lady was very understanding and when she got the package she knew I had told the truth!

Not that it helps you now but always ship ebay items with delivery confirmation. If you print you shipping label from paypal DC is free.

Also if you accept paypal and end up with a charge reversed without having the DC and proof that was was shipped and received you will be out the money.
 
Just an FYI..... I got an email from an Ebay customer yesterday. I had mailed her item Parcel Post on 10/18.... it was going from NH to FL and hadn't arrived yet.... 9 days! But it did arrive later in the day yesterday.... so be patient. If you package was going across the country Parcel Post it could probably take a long time. And in the future... ALWAYS GET DELIVERY CONFIRMATION! I wouldn't ship without it.... even if I mis-calculate the shipping and have to pay for it myself, I always get it....

BTW....if you ship Priority Mail and print your label online, either through the Ebay link or through the USPS site, DC is free.... and if it is not Priority Mail and you print your label online through the Ebay link, then DC is .13, although you have to pay an online .20 "label processing fee" it is still cheaper at .33 than at .55, which it would cost you at the PO. ...........HTH.......P
 
After good communications back and forth and my running to the PO to check on this, I got this feedback:

neutral it took a very long time for the item to get to me.

Gesh ! Now I do not know what to say in hers, she only has 3, so maybe she doesn't know what she is doing ????

Since you won't get this until you get back.... I hope you trip was GREAT!

If she got the package and could see that you mailed it promptly (by the postmark date), it was quite unfair of her to leave you a neutral. It is certainly not your fault if the PO is slow.... and, of course, it will only be getting slower with Christmas coming. Sorry you had this trouble.....................P
 
you can do online and add a comment to your neutral remark. I would add " item was shippied Oct 12, 2004, due to problem of the post office. item wasnt recieved until.......Sorry for the delay.

that way you can let others know it wasnt you,,

also I use fedex whenever I ship something ( and add it to the price of item) that way it always get there in a few days, plus you can track it
