Help! Late January or Early May? Crowds?

We usually travel to "The World" late January into early February (need to get out of the snow) and love the low crowds, but this year due to school activities we may need to push it back to early May. Can anyone tell me how the crowds are at that time of the year?

We have been to WDW around Mother's Day a couple of times and the crowds have not been bad and the weather is wonderful! Go and have a great time!!

We went early May this year and thought the crowds were quite low. Lines were short Sunday through Wednesday and started picking up on Thursday with a big increase by Friday. So, going mid-week is still the best. I would recommend you go then if possible. May is still hot, but not unbearably so. And a rest/swim in the afternoon is helpful if you feel overheated. Anyway, we are trying end of January for the first time in 2006 and look forward to low crowds and cooler temps. However I worry that everyone will be sick during our trip and/or we will be delayed due to snow storms. . .LOL!

i was there jan. 6-16 and april 30-may 8 this year & they were equally uncrowded. i was there may 4-9, 2003 & it was also uncrowded. this year was a little more crowded near the end of my may trip as the happiest celebration on earth was kicked off then but it was not unreasonable. plus the weather is nicer & there's the flower & garden festival at epcot. hope you have a great time!

We have been both times. We found both to be good with January getting the nod for the lowest crowds. The only thing about January is the weather. It can be shorts one day , and sweat-shirts and gloves the next.

I think that you would enjoy either.
