Help! Last-minute trip - Wyndham

We just stayed at the Wyndham a few weeks ago. It was fine! I posted a review to the board at that time--check a few pages back or do a search if you're interested.

A practically free trip to Disney is ALWAYS fine.:D

We stayed at the Wyndham for 2 nights before our Disney Cruise and we stayed at the Hilton for 1 night after the cruise. I got the Wyndam for $60.00 and the Hilton for $63.00 on Priceline. We actually thought that the room we had at the Wyndham was nicer than the one at the Hilton. We used the bus service from the Wyndham and spent the day at MK and it wasn't bad at all. We also enjoyed being able to walk from both hotels over to DTD. The kids enjoyed the pools at both places. I thought that the hotels were very nice, especially for the price we paid.

Kaelynsmom,

Did you notice if the Wyndham provides the yellow swin vests at the pool?

Thanks

Hi from one N.Orleanian to another.

I think that you'll find the resort fine. I spent one night at the Wyndham in Nov. 2003 and really started my vacation off wonderfully. I decided to add a night onto my FTP on both sides and bid on priceline. I got the Wyndham at DTD. I flew in and checkedin around noon and was bumped up to a suite on the 5th floor of the main hotel (it was a handicapped bathroom but so very large). The hotel was very nice. I did get something to eat in the deli (prices about same as you'll find on Disney), I ordered room service for dinner and certain was found that nice in the pool and large whirlpool on recreation island. I didn't use there bus service as I walked to DTD to go shopping that day. You will have maybe a 300 foot walk through the hotel and over recreation island then cross the street to DTD and the buses are right there. A short walk past them brings you to the backside of the Christmas store in DTD. I had so much fun there and the hotel really did have a nice atmosphere and was very convenient to Disney property. I agree with the above poster, go out in the a.m. and feed the turtles the left overs, they are so cute, we had a few ducks as well.

Have a great vacation.
