Sorry if this is an over-discussed item...
search doesn't work for me and I've looked back as far as I can stand on several forum areas here!

Jambo or Kidani

And then tell us what do you think the pros/cons are for each?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Kidani is new...:cool1: rooms are a tiny bit bigger...
Jambo is closer to Boma:lovestruc and the CS restaurant...

You know what you are getting at Jambo. Where the buses will be, the layout of the room choices, ect...

Kidani is still new with some unknowns... An adventure...:thumbsup2

When and what kind of unit? We will stay at both.

Bobbi,
Still a little undecided on dates... but leaning to December... and KNOW... I've got to get moving! Looking at SV 2BR... may need to do SV Studio if I need my points for others to join us! Might could splurge and do concierge on either of those... but really think I want confirmed SV.

hmmm...
so many decisions!!!

Thanks for all your ideas!!!

OK...do you know that concierge will only be in Jambo, so that would take care of that, and truly, you may be too late already, unless you're still coming up to 11 month mark.

If you're going for a special December trip, with friends, I would probably pick Kidani, just because it's new, and you are looking at a 2 bedroom. They are special in Kidani, could get dedicated with 3 baths, not that special in Jambo.

And did I just read correctly that the SV studios in Kidani have king beds? where Jambo have queen beds?

SV studio beds in Kidani are queens, just like the SV studio beds in Jambo.

I would have agreed with you... but found this on the public reservation site run by Disney:

Animal Kingdom Kidani Village - Studio - Savanna View
All Studios have one king-size bed and one queen-size sleeper sofa, kitchenette with coffeemaker, microwave, mini-refrigerator and toaster, table and chairs, ceiling fan, wet bar, private balcony, vanity area with sink and bath. Sleeps 4. All Studios are non-smoking. Wheelchair-accessible Studios are available. Amenities include in-room wall safe, voice mail, high-speed Internet access, data port, alarm clock, DVD player, hairdryer, iron, ironing board and Pack 'n Play playard. A full-size crib is available on request. Savanna View Studios offer a view of one of the savannas at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

Anyone else know about this? Typo on res site?
I hope it is true!

I am in a Studio this June so I am choosing Jambo, but if next time I stay I am in a 1 or 2br I would choose Kidani.

Well for us it's Jambo for the value rooms, but as you're not looking at that I might go with Kidani for the extra bathroom and new pool/rec. facilities :)

Kidani. New rooms, New (cool) pool area (and bar ;)) and a new store to explore (it's Disney, there's ~always~ a store!)
And if that info about the Studios having a king bed is correct I'll be in heaven (no more bruised knees from my kid kicking me heheh)

Wow... I would be PSYCHED if it's true about the king bed in a Kidani studio. As it is, we only do studios for super short stays, because we can't stand sleeping in a queen very long... we just don't sleep well that way.

I think we will be trying Kidani for our 2010 stay, since we will have a bunch of friends with us in a 2 bedroom. The extra bathroom is nice, and it is nice that you have a chance of having a savanna view on a lower level than you can have in Jambo. My one concern is having to go so far to counter service. But maybe it will just force us to actually use the kitchen.

Called member services today... they say queen...

:tink: please let there be king beds!

It would be so much better!
