If you have a Nike store in your area (or even if you dont), please check to see if Jason Lester will be running through your town as he runs and bikes across the United States from NYC to the Eugene, Oregon. His journey starts on March 19th and he will finish at the end of June to create awareness in making a better world through sustainability and sport. Jason will be running about 30 miles a day as he goes from Coast to Coast, with some biking miles thrown to round out the 4,800 mile trek.
In case you dont know who he is, Jason Lester is an ESPY award winner who was hit by a car when he was 12 years old. He lost use of one of his arms, yet is still is a world class tri-athelete. He also does Ultraman races. Think about trying to run 52.4 miles with one arm. Now think about trying to do that after the 6.2 mile swim and the 261.4 mile bike ride. His message is inspiring, uplifting, and humbling.
I have meet so many incredible people though the WISH boards. If you are in one of the towns listed below, find out when Jason will be arriving and go for a run with him and others that are out to make a difference in our world. There is no cost or gimmick to it. Just pure amazingness. Don't let Jason be alone on this journey.
