Help: ink on car leather

I took DH's truck to get the oil changed today. When I got back in I noticed a line of ballpoint pen ink on the door panel leather that the attendent made accidentally. How can I get this off?

aerosol hairspray will take it out. Make sure you clean the residue off afterwards.

Also, odds are that the door panel has material that matches the interior leather, but is not actually leather. They usually only use the real stuff on the seats (and sometimes armrest).

Goof Off. It's a miracle product. You can get it at Home Depot or any other store like that. It got melted crayons off the seats of our rental car at Disney once. Now we're never without the stuff!!

Just yesterday or the day before I read somewhere that ordinary milk takes ink off of leather. I haven't tried it myself but its cheap and readily available so I would give it a shot before any commercial product.
