We have a three LARGE indoor bamboo plants that are all "planted" in river rocks and water. We've had this plant for almost 4 years, so I really don't want to kill it. We've never taken it out of the rocks, and the roots are all intertwined not only with each other, but also with the rocks and with. But the rocks really need a GOOD cleaning, as all of a sudden, green algae is growing on the sides of the vase and some rocks.
Has anyone ever sucessfully done this without killing the plants? If so, how?
(Mine is like this, only with rocks going the WHOLE way up the vase.)
