We are planning our first trip to WDW in Mid September. We have reservations at the Poly for 7 nights. I would appreciate any info on the best gardenview Rms. Non-smoking. We have a daughter 4 and our son will be 22mo.

We really enjoyed Fiji... and I've read lots of great reports about Samoa. :) Another thread posted today about this same topic had several votes for Tokelau. :)

I have stayed in Rapi Nui, Rarotonga, and I really liked Rarotonga for the closeness to the GCH. My family and I got rooms 2827 & 2828 and they were very close to the entrance doors leading to the GCH. With kids I thought it was perfect. I also heard that Somoa was nice with views of both pools and that is what I'm going to ask for this upcomming trip. Visit Tikiman's web site because that site has everything you want or need to know about the Poly!

I think Samoa is all smoking now. Anyone know for sure? Steve?

Samoa is non-smoking. I booked for November and they said the whole longhouse is non smoking.

We stayed in Fiji 3 rd floor overlooking the marina and it was awesome!! Great view of Space Mt, the Contemporary, and the electric water pageant.

We fell in LOVE with the Tahiti Longhouse!!!!  They have the largest rooms on property (as does the rapa nui and tokelau) and the double sinks were great! Tahiti also has NO parking lot views so ALL gardenviews will be lovely. If I were you, I would request the first floor....because the patio is wonderful for kids......my little ones played and played in the grass and tried to "catch" the ducks!!!! :teeth:

Tahiti is also right beside the transportation and ticket center....and it is so easy to catch the monorail to EPCOT. You only have about a 2 minute walk to the quiet pool, and 5 minute walk to the GCH. There is also a way to cut through the other buildings to get to the GCH in about 2 minutes! :flower:

Dear Sleeping Beautys Mom
If I were you I would Request the Raratonga ground floor with a view of the quiet pool. You, having two small children sealed the deal. The Raratonga is nearest to the GCH and after a long day at the parks and pushing a stroller, the last thing you will want to do is push it across the grounds of the Poly and in and out of an elevator, especially if its raining. It’s a lot more convenient to walk to Captain cooks from the Raratonga than most of the other long houses. And last but not least I would bet that a 4yr. old and a 20 month old would care less if your room had a view.
Hope this helps

Check a resort map and try to pick a longhouse that is as close as possible to both the GCH and Volcano pool. I would request 1st floor Samoa if I were you.
