We're having about 10 guests (so there will be 12 of us) over for a cookout next month, and I need help with the menu. My husband is in charge of grilling - either brats & burgers, or chicken, or whatever, we're not sure yet - but I'm in charge of everything else. So, I need some ideas of what to make for all of the sides, and desserts, and then I need recipes for them. I have a recipe for a pasta and fruit salad from Emeril that I may try, but still not sure. Any ideas are welcome. Thank you.

For a dessert how about Hamburger Cookies. You use Vanilla wafers as the "bun", a mint chocolate cookie(Grasshopper is the Keebler brand name I think) as the "burger"vanilla frosting as "mayo"(and to hold it all together) and coconut with green food coloring as "lettuce". Not only are they cute, but everything together has a really nice flavor.
Another good party dish is a Hawaiin Wedding Cake. The recipe is posted ont he Lilo and Stitch Party thread on this board if you are interested.
Good luck!

Ice cream with toppings is always a big hit. That's what we're doing for the 4th....and cookies!

I'm also doing a crockpot potato thingee that is very good and always disappears fast!
