Help Identifying WDCC Pin Set

Hi, Everyone--

I have a question for the WDCC pin experts. I was cleaning out drawers and closets recently and found a bunch of old pins and pin sets. Among them I found a set of 5 pins in a black velvet box. Four of the pins are the same as the set shown in PinPics 2345 (they look like Mickey through the years--Mickey in black and white reading a book called "How to Fly", Mickey from The Band Concert, Mickey as the Sorcerer and Mickey from the Prince and the Pauper, all next to or on top of a sign that says "Walt Disney Classics Collection"). The fifth pin, in the center, is Mickey wearing his red pants, with what looks like a blue necktie and holding what looks like a yellow rolled-up paper. The pins are marked "1995 Disney China". Does anyone know anything about these pins?

Hi Kathy,

Those pins were given out to customers when they made a purchase from the WDCC series, "Mickey thru the Years" or a comparable purchase. If you notice, each pin is a replica of the WDCC sculpture with the same name. The pins were given out both by the Disney Stores and WDCC independent dealers. I don't believe they're true limited editions, but they probably are limited in some way. Anybody else with info on this pin set?

Most of the WDCC GWP pin sets had one set for Disney Stores and another for independent retailers. The center pin was different in each of the 2 sets so to get all 6 pins you had buy one scuplture from TDS and one from an independent.
