I was just going to put my hair up when I noticed something on my neck. Low and behold it was a tick! The only way I can think it got on me when I was walking in the woods this morning. I thought it was too early in the year for ticks, especially with the winter we had! I pulled it off with a pair of tweezers, poured hydrogen peroxide and alcohol on it but it is still bothering me. A neighbor kid ended up getting Lyme disease last year. I know he developed a bullseye looking rash around the bite area and a fever. Does anyone know how long that takes to develop and any other symptoms to watch out for? I know about the possibility of the tingling sensation because I was misdiagnosed with Lyme disease before being diagnosed with MS. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry this is so long.

The first sign of Lyme disease usually occurs several days or a month after the tick bite, and consists of a small red pimple that later expands to form a ring-shaped rash -"bull's eye"- a bright red ring encircling the bite and a clear area at the center. This rash varies in size - it can be as small as a dime or it can cover a person's entire back; it may mark the site of the bite or it can appear with several others throughout the body.

Sure hope all is okay. Sending PD to you now!

I had Lyme dz with NO bullseye rash. I read it only occurs in 50% of cases anyway. Are you sure it was the deer tick? Those are so tiny. I never saw a tick on me so I was very surprised when I was diagnosed.

I don't think it was a deer tick. It was red and black~~I've never seen one that color before. It was a tick though, I'm sure!!
