My husband and I are going to be in FL for the first time visiting family. My parents are taking us to Animal Kingdom and then the next day they are going to watch our 1 year old son while we go to park on our own to enjoy a day. Neither of us have ever been and I am looking for some tips on some things that we should NOT miss while we are there. Since we are only there for 1 day....we want to make the most of our day there. We are not interested in any of the waterparks. Thank you in advance for any and all tips you might have for me.

Hmmm, My first instinct was to say to spend the day at the Magic Kingdom, but when I read that you have a 1 year old that you aren't bringing I wonder if you should do Epcot, and then come back in a few years and do M.K. together with him.

Epcot would be wonderful for an adults only outing. You could do the rides in the morning, and then work your way around the World Showcase, ending with a romantic dinner for two while you enjoy Illuminations.

Now if you are willing to pay for the Park Hopper option you could do some of each -- get to one park early, ride a bunch of rides and then spend the afternoon/evening at the other park.

I agree. Take the time to do Epcot without a kid. When you have kids you rush through the "countries"...you can't explore them in depth. If you could sign up for the Segway tour that would be fantastic.

Epcot is a great park to enjoy without kids, spend the early part of the day in Future World and then take a liesure stroll around WS. I wouldn't miss Soarin', Mission Space, or test Track(unless you are motion sick for the last two). I also love Imagination and the Living Seas.

I agree that the Magic Kingdom is wonderful but you will be able to enjoy it with your child in a few years and Epcot won't be as enjoyable with a child.

I agree. In AK try to catch the Lion King show. It's great and for some fun try thr Dinosaur ride. I little scary, but not a roller coaster. It's great fun. Of course see the Safari.

In Epcot. See Honey I Shrunk the Audience. I haven't done soarin in WDW, but have done it several times in DL. IT's great.

If youlike steak try LeCellier in Canada. OR the Coral Reef is great, ask to be by the aquarium.
:thumbsup2
